Yessir. They just changed the name from xi to xDrive.

Edit: Just noticed where you live. If you're going low, be prepared to drive slow. I had to drive into the city the other day; nothing but coils banging and car scraping. The entire time, I was gritting my teeth and clenching my butt cheeks.

Looks like KW V1s are the favorite on here. Im lookin into getting the Sonic Tuning coilovers though. Considerably less expensive. And i hear theyre adjusting them to be able to go lower in the front

From the pictures I've seen, Sonics hardly drop the car at all. They did mention that they might redesign them to go lower, but someone from Sonic chimed in and stated that it wouldn't be complete for a long while.

Ive seen some pics where the sonics barely dropped, too. But ive also seen some pics of cars slammed on them. Im still doing research to see why. For me, im not looking to slam it, i just need an inch drop to get it where i want, but since i live in CO, dampers/springs would not be a good idea. This is why i regret getting an xi sometimes.

Guess we'll just wait and see how those sonics turn out. The price wasnt bad.

Wouldn't the xi be key in Colorado? Haha. Either way, you're driving a BMW man!

Yeah, the price on the Sonics is amazing!

No doubt! But when its summer here (which is awesome btw) i wish i could have a nicely dropped car, and the options are so limited for the xi. First world problems. I love my car though

the reason youve seen pics of cars slammed with Sonics is because those cares are RWD.. not Xi.

the whole problem with Sonics on the Xi.. is they had to limit the range in front due to awd system.

in another thread.. they claim to have a redesigned application for Xi cars, to allow more range.. if you are looking for moderate drop the sonics will be fine.

but I ended up going for the KW V1 and very happy i did.. they are amazing.

Ive reasearched a ton on the Sonics.. overall im sure they are fine..
but im still very glad i spent the extra for the Kws.. and if needed will go much lower then even the new version of Sonics..

Haha I had a rwd in nyc and Lord after an inch that car was worth a penny. I had her pretty low.

Also spoke to bc I had coil overs from them they actually told me they test fitted the coils from a rwd to awd and they fit but u will never be as low because of the set up. He said he was going to send me pictures to show me the max low. I really don't mind because I don't think it's a good idea to slam an awd

Good to know, thanks. I definitely see the KWs being a better option, but i dont need that much so i cant see myself spending that kind of money, but i also dont want to just throw springs on.

You've heard nothing good about the KW's? All of their products are great.

My thread:

Sitting on V3's pretty damn low. Handles like a dream. Pictures don't do justice. Both front and rears are tucked.

Sorry. I ment I hear nothing but good lol. I know they are awesome but I would want my coil overs with adjustable damper, adjustable camber. I know you can get this from the v3but that is a Shit load of money.

In the back of my mind, I kind of knew you meant that hahaha.

You can pick up a used set for a good price if you are vigilant. Got mine for $800.

Oh gotcha. Congrats on the upgrade!

You mean "2011 LCI 335i xDrive M-Sport*"

Wish I had the M-Sport package
