Thinking to remap my ECU and remove SCR completely from my X5 35d. Sounds like Ecotune just removes fault codes without making any changes in software. Does somebody know a tuner who can completely remove SCR with software, so I can completely remove it ?

I know of a local tuner who does just that. He's near Toronto.

Why do you think "Ecotune just removes fault codes without making any changes in software"?

The data I've taken and posted demonstrates there's much more going on than that ...

I've been running with SCR and DPF out for multiple months now The EGR did have some issues with not being fully coded out in the software, but a simple EGR blocking plate fixes that (and once I demonstrated that worked I went and removed the entire EGR cooler). I haven't seen any data from anyone with a north american 335d/X5d that has demonstrated complete EGR removal with just software (some have claimed it ... if it has been done I'd like to see logs of data showing it).

Can you read what SCR tank sensors shows when you plug diagnostic software such as ISTA ? If it shows how much DEF fluid is in your tanks and its temperature, when it is not 100% disabled and you might have problems in a future.

I don't like people who don't want to sell downpipes to other people.

I have the Bavarian Technic tool. Haven't tried to look at the SCR stuff, but I'll see if there's any parameters in there. Although, since the tanks are drained, I'm not sure how valid those numbers will be ...

We have, as far as I know, 2 vendors supporting that at this time. I used Ecotune.

Thanks, but actually all those numbers were with the DPF in place... I'm hoping for some better numbers this Spring when the 1/4 mile track opens back up.

Also, I tried finding the SCR stuff in the Bavarian Technic tool, but could not locate any parameters for it. I can see almost everything else (DPF parameters, EGR, EGT's, injectors...). Anyone know where to look to find the SCR stuff in the North American DDE7 for the SCR using the Bavarian Technic? Or is there another tool out there that can see it? Maybe that new BMWhat android app?

you need professional diagnostic tools to be able to read SCR. That is software what I use: http://www.auto-professionals.co.uk/...d.php?tid=9436

Yeah. And stock intercooler and differential and pretty bad Density Altitude conditions. Hotrod went even quicker this late fall with the dpf still on as well. Although he was using a heafty amount of 100% methanol injection for his runs (think he said ~1200ml/min nozzle) and pulled seats and other stuff out of his car for weight reduction.
