Hello all,
Been contemplating going FBO minus exhaust. with so many options out there, just wanted to see what people's suggestions are. Have not been following anything the last feel years. Just came back on the forums within the last year. I know most of you already have mods on but if you were to do it again which brands would you get for FMIC, Chargepipe, DP, and BOV/DV. also, only have jb4 g4, is it worth it to upgrade to g5 Some info: I daily drive my car, never track it. would like to keep budget reasonable thanks |

I tried lots of combinations on my car, this is what i recommend
JB4 USB Cable Charge pipe ( VRSF OR ER both would do) VRSF Downpipes Intercooler ( Wagner,AA, VRSF,ER,ETS are all good options. If you are never going to track it and would like to stay on budget get VRSF 5", AA Sport or Wagner EVO I Performance). If you dont mind spending extra, the ETS and ER are excellent options as well This is the best time to get parts (Black Friday), check the vendor section for deals

Agreed on all points, I'd recommend highly that you upgrade to the G5 board, mainly for all of the new safety features it has opposed to the G4, but also for the continuous updates and support. Just don't forget the basics before going to FBO, get fresh plugs in there before doing all of that work, and I'd replace the vacuum lines for good measure if you haven't already. |

All fresh ngk gapped spark plugs
All new coils Then get walnut blast before any mods VRSF down pipes Any CP/BOV combo ETS,AMS,Wagner FMIC 7 inch MMP/PR/TFT inlets Stage 2 LPFP by fuel it E60 map MHD MaxBoost N20 sensor. Anything after the FMIC is kind of overkill if u just want to stay fbo LOL. But the mod bug never fails |

No they are available for stock turbos too. I have them on my stockers lol. its just recommended to get those after you get inlets installed because the dme cant read boost past 21-22ish and inlets enable you to push turbos past that. maxboost and n20 sensor allow dme to read up to 36psi

I would do MHD over JB4. I first did JB4, then Jb4 with backend flash, then MHD, then MHD with my own tune.
I've been happy ever since I wen't MHD. It's a real tune, not an expensive boost controller which is what the JB4 is with backend flash
