[Nov 20, 2010 2-5pm] POSE FOR PERFORMANCE: Photo-shoot Contest. We are recruiting photographers.


Brian Jessel Autohaus is hosting a photography contest on Nov 20, from 2-5pm, and photographers of all levels are invited to enter! Submit your application form with the $10 application fee (before Nov 17, 2010 or $20 anytime after) and enter to win a $1,000 cash prize and a chance for your photos to be featured in our 2011 Brian Jessel Autohaus charity calendar! 12 models in Eva Chen evening gowns, featured in Vancouver Fashion Week 2010, will be posing with high performance cars in our tech shop for contestants to shoot.

Public is welcome to participate in the event, free of charge. There will be various food and beverage sponsors including Clever Cupcakes, Red Bull, Bella Gelateria, and much more. You will also have the chance to enter to win 2 DUO Eason Chan concert tickets for Dec 14, 2010 at Rogers Arena.

It will be a black tie gala featuring Eva Chen's collection from the Vancouver Fashion Week. Vendors such as Clever Cupcakes and Bella Gelateria will also be on site to provide treats for all guests. For the new year, Autohaus is going to be presenting many new events!

To start the year, I’m happy to announce that we are starting an BMW E30 project that includes an S52 (E36 M3 Engine) Swap!

Ultimately this vehicle will be a Brian Jessel Autohaus track car and the car that we will bring to various car meets and events.

The most interesting part would be that we will be building the car based on everyones votes! And Everyone that votes have a chance to Name the project!

We are going to be installing an Akrapovic Evolution System for a BMW M3 E92.

Here are some of the details of the The Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system for the BMW M3:

-link pipes with 2 x 100 cpsi sports catalysts
-integrated resonators as well as a completely
-newly developed split-end mufflers.
-made fully from titanium, reduces the overall weight when compared to the stock system by 24 kg.

Specifications:

* increase of 22 HP (at 5.730 rpm)
* plus 35 Nm or 25.8 lb ft of torque(at 4.890 rpm)
* Weight reduction of 24kg

Break Down of what the Canadian Red Cross is doing
March 2011 - Japan

The Red Cross is responding to a powerful 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan. The earthquake, the largest in Japan’s history, triggered four-meter waves in Japan and tsunami warning across the Pacific coast.
There are reports of major damage and injuries in Japan and the Red Cross is concerned for countries with vulnerable coastal areas who may not have adequate prevention or response mechanism in place.
The situation continues to unfolds and the most urgent needs now are search and rescue support, emergency medical care, clean water, emergency shelter, and rebuilding homes of millions.


Anything and Everything COUNTS… Donation Guidelines:

$10 - will send a bucket and jerry can for a family to collect and store clean drinking water, helping to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases

$25 - will send 5 blankets to a family in need of warmth

$60 - will send hygiene items to 2 families who were forced to flee their homes with nothing

$364 - will provide a tent for a family left homeless after disaster strikes
