I understand the quality of the cable might not be as good. But as long as it will still do all of the functions of the $100 cable from one-stop-electronics, that is all that I really care.

1) Because your car is an '07 that cable should work fine

2) It's not really about the 'quality of the cable' per se, it is a question of will the cable work or not. The white PCB board cables that have been sold throughout the past year have been changed from previous schematics and they no longer work on '08+ vehicles. The green PCB board cables (which One stop electronics and a small minority of vendors sell), will work for '08+ vehicles.

It is really big chance that it will work. Don't worry, you can try. Few people who I know bought this cables in this price and all works great.

Hi all,

I have an E70, but I understand the steps to install INPA etc are the same for EXX's.

I'm not upgrading from anything and I have a fresh install of BMW Standard Tools 2.12 and v49 Daten files. Got my cable and all that jazz working correctly, however when I launch INPA - I have no options to select a chasis. Checked my INPA config file, it's empty. Does anyone know if I'm missing any files? I've been searching high and low for some information on this and I'm not having any luck.

Well... that's a kick in the nads... I just received this cable:

In the auction picture, the PCB is green (I had no idea there was any difference when I bought it, though), but the actual cable I have in hand, has a white PCB. My car is a 2008 328i. Are you saying this cable won't work with it?

Try it first, IMO it should work.

I was following the pdf on installing the NCS expert and I'm currently stuck at step 9. The device manager bar on my windows 7 does not have "PORTS" which it asks you to find. Forgive me for being a newb guys.



Before you tell me to please keep in mind that there is over 200 pages!

I got the same issue. I heard that you need to connect the cable to the usb before win7 can recognize. I can not confirm since i am still waiting for my cable

You will need to connect the cable in order to see Port listed in Device Manager in Windows 7.

Its really not possible go thru all 200 pages. Could somebody tell me how code following on e92 2008:

1] when i put reverse on gearbox I want right mirrior tilt down
2] during day when light switch is on A (auto) the AE and rear lights are on, how to turn off rear ligts off on day?
3] how activate cd changer? - there is none now
4] if i turn off the audio of belt gong, will the airbarg work?

NCS Expert Changes:

Step 1: Modifying the FA
You need to make the following additions to your FA (build spec of your car) in NCS expert, you add these to the CAS & FRM.

These two additional items in the FA of your car basically tell your car that it has a CD changer & it has the ability to play MP3.

Step 2: Modifying the code in MASK unit
Here's the parameters in the MASK unit that you need to change with NCS expert:

1] As I said, nettodat coding and should be fine.

3] This tutorial will work if you added CDC device and didn't code it, sure.
It is quite easy and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes if you have any idea about coding.
