Just got my 335i two days ago. Other than the fog lights, what other lighting upgrade can I make? I noticed that PIAA makes an upgraded angle eyes...any comments on those. Also according to "SocalTy" he has white LED side-markers, where can I find those?

You guys should look into PIAA ION yellow bulbs. I had them in 2 previous cars and they were great. I read someone asking about visibilty. It snows a lot in MA so in the snow they look like highlighters in the snow. In fog and bad weather they help reduce the glare coming from the mist and help out some. I always was a big fan and they look sick. They have an almost blueish/greenish cutoff because the light is not tinted yellow but rather burns yellow. Just my $.02

Very nice. I love yellow fogs, I have Nokya ones in my 05 M3, had em in my white 03 m3 they looked awesome on the white as well. They looked good on my blue m3 when I had the gold HRE C20s!!!

I added some info to that DIY post, but I have large hands and to me there's tons of room back there to change the foglight bulbs out. Also (after having changed them out a few times on my car or other people's), I only need to remove 4 bolts total, 2 in the inner fender, 2 underneath. Then just reach behind there and there's lots of room to work with. Also, you can reach back there with the wheel at full lock turned eitherway, not just one way. But I guess for some people it's much harder than it seems, where as I can do it with my eyes closed on this car or others. Just my $.02 on that part of your post. Cool pics. |

I would not advise emphasizing small appendages as a pickup line.

I just picked up Nokya 2500K Yellow bulbs for my fogs AND cornering lights on my E92. I have not seen anyone put yellow cornering bulbs. I think it will look sweet.
I'll post pics of the fogs and cornering lights once I've installed them.

I've seen Nokya yellows in person. Luminics yellow has definitely more yellow tone than Nokya yellows. Nokya in general is usually "softer" in color. Given same temperature range color, Nokya usually put out less color. Which in a way is better for lighting up the road in my honest opinion.
ex. nokya's advertised hyper white is less "white" than other brands. lol. Now that I read it again, yes that was a stupid statement. My apologies. Funny thing is, Im arguing in this other thread about this kid emphasizing about asian driver getting in an accident. doh. stupid me. haha

actually for a lot of people that is. many hate them because they give that "lexus" or "Corvette" look.
It took me WEEKS to decide whether I should get white or yellow, but yellow looks more "OEM"-ish. I had too many "hyper white, true white, bright white" stuff bulbs with my earlier hondas.

I have always been on the "white light" bus until I went to the yellow fogs.. they look amazing and they do make a difference when I drive at night. It makes area out towards the sides of the car while you are driving more visible...
