E92 M3 DCT - Latest Mods & Pics!

Just taken some very quick snaps before we head off to join Chris, Andy and Paul at the wonderful annual Fulmer village fete!!
As you know i had the Evolve remap, BMC filter and Remus Race exhaust fitted a few days ago. Ive now fitted all my CF badges (bonnet, boot, steering wheel and wheel caps) plus the gloss black M3 badge. My last M3 had a Matt black theme - but Gloss black is the theme of this new M3. I had my alloys sprayed shiny gloss black and i then had the following bits coloured coded gloss black to match - kidney grills, side indicator grills, bonnet air intakes, mirror covers and finally the lip spoiler on the boot.
Ive ordered my Vorsteiner replica front lip spoiler and VRS II rear diffuser from the USA and they should be with me in around 10 days. I will then get those colour coded gloss black and then i think im done with the aesthetics on this one!!
IF i keep her (which i highly doubt!!) then i am considering an AA X-pipe and secondary cat delete, power pulleys and then Pagid race pads, braided lines and fluid.
Have to say that so far i am enjoying the DCT - but its not as exciting as driving the manual, its almost too easy to drive which i know is an odd thing to say in a negative tone but it has lost some of its raw appeal. I keep harping on about the CSL and maybe its an unfair comparison but if they could have injected some of the rawness and excitement from the way the CSL felt when banging through the gears it would have been a great thing. But i appreciate the CSL is a different car and the E92 M3 is a more refined option etc. The DCT lag in "drive" is becoming more apparent for me and more of an issue - so finding im driving in S5 all the time now.
Overall though, still an awsome car and i am SO in love with my Remus race and the wife hasnt complained once!!!!

Looks good! Not a fan of all black wheels personally but like the gloss black grilles.

I get over the lag issue, by using it in 'S' mode when approaching junctions and roundabouts if I anticipate a quick getaway etc. If just driving lazily am happy to just leave it in 'D' - I use drivelogic setting 2 in 'D' mode, but like you, use setting '5' in 'S' mode

I liked the matte black wheels on the last M3. Not really digging the glossy finish. Apart from that it's a dream in every way.

In before you sell it.

Thanks guys. As per the last M3, it does look better in the flesh according to everyone that has seen the pics then seen it in the flesh. I went for gloss rather than matt black this time just to try something different. I think when its super clean the gloss wheels look better than the matt - but when its dull and dirty i think the matt carried it better. Car certainly turns heads wherever i go like my last M3 but probably even more so now with the race exhaust!!! Car just lacks a bit of excitement when banging through the gears with the DCT - manual just seemed/felt more exciting - DCT is just so smooth and easy. The big test for me will be on the next Ring trip. And yes Willy-boy, you are more than welcome to come for a spin!!

Loving it Steve. Not sure on the gloss black wheels though, liked the powder coated look of your last car - Stil,l like you say, look greats in the flesh. It is by far the nicest E9x M3 I've seen.

Good luck

PS - Still thinking about changing the RS - It is up for sale at the moment! If I can just get past this next moth in it, she'll be a keeper.

PPS - I know of someone else on the forum who has defected to an RS4.....

Looking very nice matey! Always been a big fan of the Alpine white especially with black rims, but with all these muddy roads down my way I decided against it. The exhaust looks like it needs to be aligned better, way too far off to the sides, it needs to be adjusted to sit in the center of the exhaust cut out sections like how the standard ones are.

Its a shame the S5 is being used more than the M due to your dislike of the DCT, the M3 is a far superior in my opinion. The handling is much better in the BMW, my friend has an S5 and he always gets left in the S bends! Maybe its time to switch to a manual before you spend any more £'s on yours?? At least everything can be switched onto another M at a later date if needed.

I think the OP meant that he's driving with the DCT in S5 mode, i.e the sportiest setting. Not THE Audi S5... I hope

btw, your car is hot! I'm jealous.
