Coupe vs. Sedan?
Just was wondering why people chose to go with a coupe or sedan?
(I searched this and didn't find anything so sorry if this question has been asked before!) I myself am going with a sedan. I think it is more practical and I like the dimensions of the sedan better than the coupe. That being said, i also think that with the right modifications the coupe can look much more aggressive. |

do you really need strangers to tell you which car is best for you? Only you know which car is better suited for your lifestyle, your budget, your taste, your desire...etc.

Sedan looks pudgy, roly-polyish, I do not have kids nor am I geriatric, and I like the look, so coupe for me.

Here is my two cents: both cars look good, but I give the nod to the coupe for sexiness. Getting my kids out of the back seat of my coupe gets old. But the rear end of the sedan(taillights!!!) belongs on some Chinese car.

...then again maybe there is a small part of me looking for reassurance in my pick. I guess i'm just probeing to see if people chose the sedan for the same reasons I did, or if the people who chose the coupe can bring up reasons that I never thought of. |

Since the OP didn't even SAY "Which one should I get" but instead asked why we picked what we did, i'll go ahead and answer the man's question.
I picked the coupe because to me: sportyness = 2 door. However, it was actually motivated by the fact that I have another SUV and I like that my personal car is indeed very personal. The look of the sedan has REALLY grown on me. A well modded sedan looks better to me than a well modded coupe, even though I think the coupe is better loocking in stock form. EDIT: If it helps anymore... if I had gotten the sedan I still wouldn't have any regrets today.

The first E9X we picked, was the wagon (E91). Before then, we had an E46 330xi, an E46 M3 and an aging Civic LX. We welcomed our son in our lives and since we live far from family (but still at a drivable distance) we changed the Civic for the E91 for added cargo room. My wife and I hate SUV and minivans. The E91 drives like the E90 but with more room.
Since then we moved and made having three cars a nightmare. I had to let go my two E46. We got pregnant again for our second baby and we wanted/needed a second car that could be the backup familly hauler. we then went for the E90 which we will get sometimes soon.

I got the coupe because I love the way it feels in the cockpit. More sporty. I'm a young guy without kids. So I saw no reason to go with the sedan.
I also the that I see far less e92s then e90s where I live. The coupe just felt a little more special to me. Unless you must have 4 doors, I would highly recommend the two door. Although, you can't go wrong with either car! |

in the search menu, use "coupe sedan" or "sedan coupe" (the order doesn't matter) as keywords in the thread title

I have an Infinity SUV and the wife has an Acura sedan... so for me it was a coupe all the way (don't need to use the back set much). Plus, the coupe is way better looking!

why do noobs like you get all butt-hurt after I told you to search and now is crying on another thread?
How is that post 'grumpy'? I listed all the relevant coupe vs sedan threads for the OP, and his subsequent post asked how to search properly and I replied with an answer. Let it go, I told you to search on your thread, you didn't want to heed my advice, don't bitch about it.
