I can relate to the OP....when I got my first ding, I felt like the car was done, it was a nice 7 mo. run. Lucky the PDR worked 100%. Then, the EZPass fell off the windshield and I thought it nicked the wood, but it was fine. Last was I was driving at dusk towards the Lincoln Tunnel and I couldn't get these spots off the dashboard that I noticed while driving, turns out they were the reflection from spots on the glass.

My car is still pretty mint with the exception of a nick on the air dam...haven't spilled any beverages but a water did fall out of the cupholder with the cap on.

Use SMALL cups with attached lid (like a tiny thermos mug) and it works just fine. I sip my java every morning in rushhour without any problems.

It's just a couple drops of coffee on seat. Life's too short to be angry over things like that... and if you continue to stress over it... life will be even shorter!

Now if it was your friend who decided to spill their boba drink all over the interior, then you get the bat and beat the hell out of them. You realize how difficult it is to get those damn tapioca balls out of the corners of your seats?! Oh and not to mention the smell. bleh!

I buy gas station coffee every morning, and there is a hole in the lid. I never put it in the cup holder without drinking ~1/4 of the cup. It's a problem with any cupholder, in any car. It's not unique to the e90.

Rarely, I have a problem with the empty cup 'jumping out' of the holder, but it's empty then, and the few leftover coffee drops don't come out of the hole.

If you can't drive stick and hold a cup for 5 minutes, until you drink 1/4 of the cup, then get AT or pay the $ for a plastic/metal cup with a lid. I always get my black coffee with a few ice cubes, so I usually drink the 1/4 cup before I start my car.

You've got some issues!

Although it is very insignificant, it still pissed me off. I tried wiping the coffee off the seat with my beanie, and when I got to the office, I used a wet paper towel...but who knows if any droplets went in between the folds of the chair, but I doubt it, since I only saw a couple of droplets fall.

Sometimes, I wish my car was 2 years old so I wouldn't care about stuff like this. It's really stupid that little things like this can ruin my day. It is only a car and I should really get over it. This is the downside of owning new things...at least to an OCD individual like myself.
But I do, too. I must be OCD, as well.
I'm sure you got it all.
But we both know there's that one drop of coffee in one of the seams that you can never completely get to... it's there right now... festering, growing, multiplying!
There's always that speck in the fold that is just impossible to get to- you can't see or smell it..... BUT YOU KNOW IT'S THERE! Taunting you.
It'll be ok!

If you must drink coffee in your BMW, consider buying the BMW metal mugs with a top. They fit perfectly snug in the cup holders (made to fit that way) and minimizes the accidental spills.

./shrug I use my cupholder for a 20-oz latte almost every morning.

I put the opening to the driver's side, so that acceleration and deceleration don't spill any coffee. When turning left it's spillproof, and I put my index finger over the hole when making a hard right turn.
