BMW's west coast VPC is in Oxnard, CA. Port Hueneme (where BMWs arrive by ship) is about a mile away from the VPC.

East coast there are 2:

Newark, New Jersey (VPC and port of entry)

South Carolina (point of entry is the port of Charleston - VPC is part of the X5/Z4 manufacturing plant in Spartenburg). Cars are transported from port to VPC via train. **note: BMW will soon begin shifting some of its importing via the Port of Brunswick (Georgia).

All ED cars for the east coast go through Jersey (customs)

+1

We just toured the VDC in Jersey City with the NY Chapter of BMW CCA. Was interesting but the factory tour in SC was superb.
