The extra power came primarily from running on straight e85+meth. 27psi of boost with a pretty aggressive timing curve. Definitely not for the risk averse.
ahh i prefer mustang's anyway, we only really have dyno dynamics over here so it's a bit easier to compare

still impressive!

27psi is pretty steep too unopened haha

yes that was back when he was still running a stock e36 tranny in his e30. I believe he was around 800whp then and trapping low to mid 150's.

now he he is running an ATI powerglide, 76mm gt42 style billet wheel precision and a whole new setup that hasnt been finished yet. He is expecting more power by a good margin. I believe the highest HP he saw through the powerglide (huge parasitic loss) was in the 800s wheel as well.

Car has gone well into the 8's last year. He is probably in the 3's 60-130 but doesnt care and doesnt datalog it.

I am curious, did we ever hit 5s in the 60-130mph testing with an N54 yet like it was mentioned at the beginning of this thread?

There isn't an auto tranny that can hold that type of power with our platform. Someone with a single and a 6AT could easily turn up boost and try for that time, but they could risk premature failure of their transmission. Either way, it would be cool to see a 5.xx time for a 60-130 on this platform!

Any takers?

Depending on when the power comes on and how it comes on, AK335i would be the best chance for this thus far. He has the highest power AT afaik. Maybe ask him what he's run, if he knows.

No, this was a 58mm AT and the MT car with a bigger turbo is much faster. So let me recap this, saying that an M3 with VT2 is faster than this 58mm AT car, yes, faster than an MT with a top mount twin scroll, probably not. Hopefully at the next Shift S3ctor event in April, we'll get to see that race...

haha yea i should have got a vbox and done it as after my 642WHP dyno at 25psi and 100oct/e85 mix i started running meth plus 100oct and 27psi

but i was too deep in roll racing and didnt get around to it. not to mention my transmission slipped within a week or so of adding meth and turning up boost. Had to have been close to 700whp on a 6at LMAO it was fun..

ill be getting 1/4 mile data and Vbox times as soon as my transmission project is finished
