06 330i Cost to get a Maintenance Upgrade and/or the Original Owners protection plan

I was curious to get some advice from the experts here. I have 44K miles on my 2006 330i now and was just contacted from my dealer to purchase a maintenance Upgrade and/or the Original Owners protection plan.

I was a tad surprised to see Original Owner Protection Program at $2,625+tax and maintenance agreement at $1,695+tax.

To be honest I want to look for a new BMW to replace this in the spring but not totally sure yet. The brakes in the onboard system show I should be close to 50K and if I get those covered or not. The only one I might consider is the maintenance agreement but to make that really worth it I would have to have the car well over 60K miles.

Have others seen these costs lower?
