Hmmm, maybe then I'll do it, I'm not trying to run quarter mile times or anything. I have 6MT (The best). I'm not heavily modded, but my wallet still hurts anyways. I have M-tech front, rear, side skirts, CF Splitters, CF roundels (stickers ftw), CF interior wrap (still need to send my ashtray to longtran because it's fucked up) and etched-glass ambergones (More stickers FTW). I would be down for photoshoot, but maybe when I go to phx to visit my friends at ASU since nobody on e90post is in Tucson.
I also have a friend with a really nice 330i Arctic Silver who for some reason (I don't know, he really dosen't know anything about cars) his pops thought it was a good idea to mod his car for him, his car has almost identical mods, M-Tech Front, CF Splitters, M-Tech rear and CF Diffuser and CF Spoiler. If somebody has a nice camera/photography skills in the Tucson area I bet I could convince him to loan me his car for a shoot

I need help getting a meet setup, I have no clue what's the best place for you guys and meets and if you had a meet in the past where did you have it. I'm looking to do a BBQ in some state park like past meets in NY. Unless someone has another idea.
The only problem is I can't really find any information on a spot when we can BBQ relatively close to our cars. I'm looking at Lake Pleasant it's 60 miles away from Mesa (where I am) and 35 miles from the heart of Phoenix, which is a little longer than I wanted but gives us an opportunity for some rolling shots and a video maybe ... I feel like listing somethings I would like.
If you want a BBQ depending on how many people, someone could bring chips and w/e, another plates/cups/napkins... you get the idea. I suck at cooking anything more than a hot dog on the grill so I'm depending on one of you to do it. As for the date, I would love to do it this weekend (Sunday) but for most that will be too short notice and there won't be a good turnout. ALSO, Wall of text! |

i would have to ask around. ive only been here for 3 months..lived in california for 20 years before this so its a little bit different. my guess is that just some type of park around here would be a good spot. i dont see this meet being nearly as big as ones i went to in the bay area. saying this, scottsdale being rich, probally has the best parks (i'm assuming this)

Will give the park a call later. Edit: Gave them a call if we have 5 or more people (I hope we have) we have to book some sort of reservation (don't think it should cost anything). Entry fee is $6 per car and the picnic sites are right off the parking lot. ----------- McDowell Mountain Regional Park offers two picnic areas totaling 88 picnic sites. Each site has a picnic table, restroom, playground, and barbecue grill. Picnic sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ironwood - open year round. Paloverde - closed from May until August. --------- Is this too far? Will see if the North/Phoenix Mountain Preserves have picnic areas. I heard south mountain can be pretty sketchy so I'm not going to try that. Last edited by AllydNYC; 10-28-2010 at 03:51 PM.. |

Ok cool! I'm going up to Pine for the weekend. When I get back Sunday I will figure everything out. If not too short notice, maybe next Saturday or Sunday? After that we could do just Saturdays. (Godaddy has me working on Sundays). Ultimately just want a good turnout.

Not going to be able to meet next weekend as we'll be installing my headlights back on the car on Saturday and I have plans Sunday.
Any other time would be good though. |

I been busy with work and school. When I figure out a two dates (if for one date a lot of people couldn't attend) I will start a thread on it and see what is better for everyone and then 'book' a spot at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Just don't want you guys to think I forgot.

Haha. I'm down for some New York chillen. Just need to work out whats what and whens when. I know I'm not around this week due to school and I'll be away for 2 after that. But it then depends on what next quarter brings. I'm more of a random get together kinda guy. We can plan something to go get some drinks or meet up with some locals sometime. I'm just not one to be able to give much notice to when I'm around.

New member here, but not new to AZ, or car meets, and hot spots..
Scottsdale pavillions are probably one of the best spots to go usually ALWAYS has something sat nights.. Or on the westside, westgate (arena) is a good one..

Apparently I'm the only one in AZ that thinks Scottsdale is full of classless jackoffs. Its all middle aged men in Ed Hardy T shirts and rhine stone covered button ups. The clubs are a little better, but not much.

I certainly wouldn't mind driving out to Scottsdale for a meet though. It's a nice area, I'm just not a fan of the night life. |

The night lifes OK. It beats the local Glendale bars. But thats probably just because the local Glendale bars of full of people from Glendale. I think I hate Fashion Square and the surrounding area more than I dislike the bar area/old town.
