a bit of it is jealousy, but also a bit of it is stats.

I cannot could the number of times younger kids (frick that makes me feel old saying that) have tried to race me on public streets. Now we have all been there, done stupid shit but thankfully they are in beaters, civics, grand ams, cavaliers, sunfires etc. But when you talk about cars with 300+hp it puts a HUGE elephant in the room. I have read numerous articles that include a sub 20yr old and a fast car, the results are not good. I know you say you are responsible, but throw a pretty girl in the picture your other head starts thinking for you, trust me it will happen, dont kid yourself. its happened to all of us, we all want to show off, its in our nature.

Just because you have driven fast cars in a straight line does not mean you know how to drive. My car is slow, 185hp slow...in a straight line, however i have tracked and auto-x my car numerous times and have a general idea of how cars react in a variety of situations, can you say the same. Around a track i am faster than some cars with twice my power...

Best way to learn how to drive is to take a very very well handling car with low power (<200hp) and go to town. keiichi tsuchiya's exacts words. Then when you upgrade to the power you really know how to drive, properly.

Jealous? JEALOUS? Ha its called a joke! But let me give you some insight you little prick, I'm 23yrs old I own 6 cars(not including my wifes) 2 motorcycles a boat and a house. When I turned 16 I had been working for 3 years and I learned to drive on a 1987 porsche 911 I bought and restored with my own resources. By 17 I had bought myself a an 05 vette. By 19 I was done paying it. By 20 I got my first e46 m3. Today by day I have a safe with 9 titles under my name (satisfaction you don't and probably won't get to have by 23) a house and a lot more respect for money then you'll ever have. And I've never to this point ever even mentioned it online..so when you go to sleep tonight remember that 26yr old 911 porsche I got when I got when I was 16 is STILL worth more then your car.

And when you wake up in the morning remember unlike you you can't count my OWNED AND PAID for vehicles with one hand..unlike you. And for the record your car won't be wrapped around a tree within a year because you're 16 driving a fast car, it'll be wrapped around a tree because you're a cocky little prick who thinks is awesome because he owns an entry level luxury vehicle daddy gave him and cant value what it don't cost him.

Enjoy the ULTIMATE driving experience.

I've been driving my brothers old r32, that's basically been my practice car which is pretty fast but I think it's a nice car to get a feel for a car like the 335

and yours doesn't? To me with your rant you want people to feel sorry for you that you had to work for 6 cars? Good for you. I paid for 7 years of University, meh. We all have to pay the bills sooner or later

Not really man, some of us learn to drive in manuals.

16 wow. Just don't go kill yourself, coz you need to take advantage of all the female attention you're gonna get.

I had a threesome in an old Ford escort once, if I had a bimmer at 16 I reckon I could have had an orgy. Good luck man.

Enjoy the car OP and be careful. I realize you weren't trying to come off as cocky, it's just the way some people are going to interpret it. My folks are wealthy and I've always had nice cars and all but once you sort of grow out of that umbrella you gain a different sort of worldview, it's weird.

Ha. No hate

I've said it before, you can't beat experience when you're determining whether a driver is good.

People shouldn't be commenting on whether the OP is fortunate/spoilt. The only real debate is whether a parent should give a 16 year old a car like this as their first.

No matter how much I trusted my son, there's no way I'd let him have anything this quick at 16. I'd just worry too much, I know how over confident 16 year olds can be...

Pics of said car? Hard to give mod advice without.

I had a 2004 mazda6 v6 in high school bought new when I was 17. I just sold it this past summer after putting 150k on it still looking showroom new. Now I have a e92 328i, I'm 26 now. I never wrecked the car and I knew several others who had cars which were considered faster I.e. over 200hp and lived not to total them...Granted though cars are a lot faster these days so be careful haha. Enjoy the car and take care of it!

I really appreciate all the positive comments, but I don't understand why some people want me to crash so badly, my brothers first car was an r32 and he didn't crash once, and my dad is buying me this car because he knows I'm not a dumbass, it's called trust
