Came across this article that I thought would be of interest: http://www.ffcobra.com/magazine/waxtest.html

Prima Epic, a local specialty shop designed it. Very good and easy to apply.

Another local manufacturer of car car products. I have used both Adams and Prima, IMO the Prima products seem to be better.

Been using Zaino system for a year. So far been happy with results, but always looking if there is something better and cheaper

A lot of folks certainly have their favorites and that's what it's all about! What I like about that article is that it simply compared 3 different products and seemed fairly objective with the assessments over a month. Thanks for sharing the link.

They mix was and sealants in this test. Zaino doesn't have a wax, as far as I know. The waxes give dark colors a deeper shine (and last about 1 month), while sealants give a more glass-like look (but last up to 6 months).

You're correct, the title is a bit misrepresenting as it relates to Zaino. Zaino is NOT a carnauba wax based vs synthetic polishes and protectants.

Zaino's aim is to give the car one of the best protection in the industry if you use their whole system with "wettest-looking” finish, which I find is very noticeable on the dark color cars...

Has anyone used Prima Amigo & Epic on Jet Black with good results?

I've used the entire Prima product line on my Mini's for a couple of years now. Excellent products!

Soon though I will be doing my first full detailing on my new 328xi, (Jet Black) and wonder if there is a better product - i.e., will not leave ANY residue on the black trim.

Has anyone used Prima Amigo & Epic on Jet Black with good results?

Nice article, I've been using Zymol for years, it does a really nice job but I just bought a few Zaino products and am anxious to try it out on my JB E92. Alot of folks from the forums swear by Zaino so Im curious to see what all the hype is about.

I just tried the Zaino products and I'm hooked. Very nice glossy shine. You need to work at it a little but it is so worth it. I was a Meguiar's man for a while. Not any more.

I've used Zaino and Zymol (carbon wax I think it was) in the past. My opinion as an avid detailer. Zaino was great, but the thing that holds me back is that it needs to be ordered online, there is just something I like about going to the auto part store to get my stuff

The Zymol Carbon wax (think I paid $38) was a WASTE. Pain to apply and remove, and the results were less than great. I've used the cheap Zymol cleaner wax stuff, it's okay but I wouldn't write home about it.

I do LOVE the Zymol HD Cleanser as a pre wax cleaner, it's so easy to use and I think it does a great job.

As far as waxes go (or whatever you want to call it) I've been using Meguiars Tech Wax with great results. While it doesn't last the longest, it's so easy to apply and remove and the shine it leaves behind is just great, and the price is right and it's readily available. I honestly think it's more in the technique you use than the actual product. I've gotten better results using Meguiars Cleaner Wax than a friend of mine did using Zaino, simply because he had no idea what he was doing. Prep work is everything.....

Just take 10-15 minutes to print and read their posted information on how to prep and apply their Zaino system and refer to it as you start detailing your car
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...de=APPLICATION

IMHO if you follow their steps and tips you'll be very happy with results, specially as you start layering Z-2 PRO over weeks on JB color for that liquid wet look . Just keep in mind with all of their product a little goes a long way.

I decided to give a try this spring/summer to Chemical Guys product line as I've run out of Zaino : http://www.chemicalguys.com/Auto_Det..._p/spi_151.htm

Just like some folks have said Zaino doesn't have a wax, so that's out of the question and Zymol was good many many years ago but started the downward way some products ( getting very cheap or just doesn't work that well anymore and selling almost anywhere like wally world, target, etc. ) and the last one still standing is Meguiar's Tech Wax 2.0 in liquid form is a very good wax / sealant that should last about 45 days. Just my option.

You may not appreciate this carnuba wax on your AW, but being from Toronto you should give it a try - it is easy to apply, and looks great on black cars with no residue problems:

(warning - annoying flash website....)

http://www.worldsbestwax.com/main.htm

It's overpriced...but worth trying. I got the red flavour.
