Tunning Sugestions

I am seariously thinking of doing some sort of tunning, for example Dinan, SSTT, JB, etc..... I don't want to screw myself out of the factory warranty, so I know Dinan is great because of the warrenty, but who wants to pay $2000 when you can get others fo under $1000?

What issues have people had with regards to there tune and the factory warranty?

Any suggestions and or info would be greatlt appriciated.

I can't believe you've done this...
but since you asked I like my PROcede Rev II CANbus.

For more info on PROcede, JB3, JB+, SSTT, ESS, Dinan et al please utilize the search function.

What's up guys?!? How is the dirty Dayton? Curt, what the he_l is that picture? Nice! Hopefully we can get together again soon.

Anyways OP, you really need to do some research and try to make your decision on what you feel is right after taking in all of the info. and filtering out all of the garbage. Everyone has their own opinions, both good and bad, but you should really consider the features, price, customer service, and what you feel best about. Don't buy into all of the bickering and hype, just go with what suites you best.

I have the JB+ for now (easy install and low 1st time tune price, not too mention great gains and awesome drive), but I will be upgrading in the near future as I am still torn between the JB3 and the PROcede CANbus. But time will tell and I will do what is best and hopefully not look back. Most all of the tunes are good as some provide different, not necessarily better, features and gains. The vendors on here are here for you and all of us, and most have long standing tenures, they most all provide valuable insight and back their products well. They have a rep to uphold ya know.

But to make a long story short, I would go with either BMS(JB products) or Vishnu (PROcede), again my personal opinion.

Cheers.

i may have been misunderstood. I have read all about the different tunes, but there is very little information on how it has affected getting warranty work done. I am just wanting to know what experiances people have had with there warranty after the tune?

Now that is funny. Hope all is well with both of you guys!

OP, the warranty is one reason I got the JB+, easily removable, but with the BT cable from BMS (which is a must have) and then the new PROcede CANbus, you can clear any code and remove the tunes before dealer visits. Great stuff, as many have had dealer visits and no problems once codes were cleared and tunes removed.

Wow I am surprised no one gave a sarcastic reply based off the OP's misspelling of tuning as "tunning".

To the OP, :

Go buy a V3 and a scanning tool (in case you throw a code).

I think it is funny that some people have enough time to search through all the posts to give people a hard time about there lack of knowlege on a subject. Not everyone on this forum knows as much as some people and because of this people get on here to learn things about there car, but instead you get bashed for not knowing or making a simple mistake as spelling. I don't have the time to spend searching gods green earth to find every detail, I do as much search as I can, so I don't bother people and the information I an not clear about I ask.

Hasn't your mother ever said, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Everyone has weaknesses in one area or another, so if you don't want to help, then zip it.

Here's another thought. . .
It's better to keep your mouth shut, comments to yourself and let people assume you're an idiot than to open your mouth, speak your mind and remove all doubt.

It doesn't take very much time to search at all.
Not everyone here knows as much on whatever subject but they can easily learn by searching.
If they're able to post a thread they can do a search.

If all tuners agree why are there more people running around with JB3 and V3 than the flash tune guys?

What is the definition of safe anyway?

Well, I was going to say that's WHY he couldn't find anything with the search function. Lol.

Searched "warranty tunning" and got no results.

have you ever heard of money? also, cheap flash tunes are relatively new. some have the hassels for shipping DME like ESS. But LET has an OBD method. don't get me wrong, the piggybacks are good for what they do.

ask the tuners yourself, what they think about flash tuning?
well, i won't get into the safety question here...

someone sounds mighty tough and angry.

your right searching doesn't take long, I have done many searches and read a ton on this forum. The part that takes a long time is reading through all the BS slams from the know it alls of the world. it is simple, if you think my question is stupid and you don't want to help, know one is forcing you to read or respond, so save us all the time and take your own advice.

Expensive piggybacks -- cheap piggybacks -- good cheap piggybacks -- expensive flashes -- better flashes -- custom dyno flashes. It's called evolution.

Don't worry I know, when flashes are proven to be better than piggybacks I will likely upgrade, but who knows since evolution takes time I will have probably moved on from the 335.
