sound coming from 330i engine
Hey guys, theres a sound that I recently started hearing while driving my car and it seems to be coming from the engine. Not really sure what it could be or how to describe it, so I put up a video on youtube. Thank you all in advance, advice is greatly appreciated!

Any warning lights on the dashboard? Do you feel a loss in power?

No warning lights, but it did happen for me to feel a loss of power a few times. I was at the dealership the other day for my struts and asked him to check it out at the same time. He told me everything was okay..

Can't really tell from the video...
How many miles? Have you done the belt and tensioner/pulley? The belt is very easy to remove, and you could then spin/rock your pulleys and accessories to find a noisy culprit.

I'm at 160 kms, I noticed that it only does it when the engine is cold, if I drive for more than 20-30minutes everything runs smoothly, but when its cold it feels like theres something wrong

Maybe you're suffering from the infamous lifter tick- goes away after oil circulates back up to the top of the engine.

I've read that the only fix is a replacement head. The problem seems to be that the oil drains from head (and lifters) causing the ticking. After oil circulates back up to the lifters (in a few miles) the noise goes away.
The new head has a check valve that keeps the oil from draining. I don't think it does any damage, its just annoying. Supposedly the cars made between Sept of 06 to Jan 08 were the worst. My car is 6/06 and hasn't shown any problems (knock on wood) All that ^^^ above is just stuff I've read- so take it with a grain of salt! Its hard to tell from your video, but I'm not really hearing the tick. This is what the tick would sound like: What oil are you using?
