Awesome buttonwillow is a hell of a track. I believe it was turn 3 or 4 that kept getting me.

I randomly saw this car on instagram and followed you! This car is so sick. One of my favorite e90's to date!

Awesome. Are those m3 rear fender/quarterpanels or custom?

I don't know if you can lump 2&3 together, but that is the drifting section where you are in second gear trying to get power down around a curve ha.

Handling specs? As in tires, wheels, shocks, springs, and components?

Custom and are kind of popping off from the width of the wheels, ha.

First time at Buttonwillow with the ASTs and I think I got pretty close. My tires are pretty old and warn out so probably could get away with a little more compression with new ones.

What's your AST setup look like? I've been playing around with spring rates on mine... started at 336/672, then 450/800, and next will be 392/800. All on 4100s with ddp revalve.

I actually really like where my car is at with 560/892. I don't have to over dampen and the 265s up front give pretty dang good grip. Then again I don't have an M3 front or rear sway because I want to control the body pitch with the spring rates.

I get you bro. Dialing in is such a personal process and is so driver dependent.

For me, the ratio of the 450/800 feels over sprung up front and the rebound behavior cannot be matched to compression with my one way setup. That's why I'm trying the lower rate up front to see if I can get the front and rear to be more harmonious.

Do you DD this car too? If so, how do those stiff springs feel... Particularly up front?

It's interesting you say that. Because I have always felt, since getting a double adjustable, that compression is way more important than rebound. Singles are just so hard to finagle because, as you said, you really can't get that perfect adjustment.

I don't really DD the car anymore, but it really isn't that bad on the streets. When you hit a significant bump or hole in the road you do get a pretty metallic thud, it's somewhat hard to explain. Other than that I am very happy with the ride quality of the ASTs and 560/900 swifts.
