How much would the LUX V4 H8 cost shipped to 12919? This kit would be for an e92 335i. When you say they are adjustable in colour, do you mean the colour itself, or how bright they are? Thanks,
Jeffrey |

I got whatever this style is in the my car. Which seems like it fits some others. Pretty darn bright and compared to some random other sites price seems fair as well.

Has anyone else tried the BMWLED.com products? I'm interested to know if you really get what you pay for or if they're okay once installed.
I'm also considering the WeissLichts and LUX. Let me know your thoughts - I'd like to make a decision ASAP to take advantage of the Lux Black Friday specials, and at this point that's what I'm leaning towards. |

Bought from DX.com http://dx.com/p/h8-16w-900lm-6500k-2...-10-30v-252515
They are bright, really bright, but one very upsetting detail - not exactly the same color =( Will post the photo later. Also, my 2007 328 throws light error codes due to lower power of LEDs |

This is what a 900 lumen output looks like, and i bet the ones you have look no where close to this.

Yeah you're right, my LEDs don't light up second ring. There is a lens on the top of LED bulb, I'll try to unscrew it - maybe that'll disperse light better.

MTEC V3 vs LUX v4 H8 for LCIs
YI just recieved my H8 LUX V4 and I can say it's quite disappointing even if it would be sold at the same price at MTEC H8 V3 26w (white heaksink for LCI) , which is not!
0. in general, for human eye (take it airline pilot's), they are both equally bright and evenly distributed (in and out ring) 1. MTEC is at 7000k and yet pure white like to F10, no blue, I switch the LUX to 6900 K and compare both side (26th 11:00 sunny) LUX has blue hue/tint , looks cheap 2. unless you Tune LUX down all the way to 5000, you will not get rid of the blue hue/tint especially in the inner ring) 3. finally LUX at 5000 (has no blue hue/tint) but is green/yellowish not white, you will never get white with LUX I wouldn't even consider installing it if the LUX were to be my x'mas gift (luckily not) |

I've read the complete thread, but would still appreciate some help. I'm interested in achieving a road legal blue tint light for main/ dipped beam, Halo lights and Fog lights. I defiantly don't want less lumens than stock so if required I would trade blue with a more whiter light. I would also like to match as closely as possible the light between the Main/ Dipped beam, Halo lights and Fog lights.
The car - 2009 E92 325i MSport Coupe. Having read the thread I was able to build a list of things to avoid and things to aim for. I had no idea what a minefield a simple change of light bulbs could be 1. Ease of fitting - A big plus 2. Overheating - Something I want to avoid completely 3. Build quality - Very important 4. Cambus errors - Something I want to avoid completely 5. EMI free - Something I want to avoid completely 6. E1 Marked - Essential 7. UV damage to lens - Something I want to avoid completely 8. Fused - Very important 9. Evenness of light over halo - A nice to have feature 10. Clarity of halo - A nice to have feature 11. Light level over both halo's - A nice to have feature 12. Flickering - Something I want to avoid completely 13. Dimming after being switched off - I'm not bothered about this 14. Daytime visibility - A nice to have feature, but would rather have a blue tint in overcast / dark conditions 15. Cost - Rather not spend more money than required, but willing to pay for quality Lighting options looked at so far (there seems to be a lack of published info on colour temperature and lumens on a lot of products) Main/ Full Beam (D1S) HID OEM • 4300k ~ 3,200 lumens Philips BlueVision Ultra Xenon (£120 each) • (up to) 6000 K ~ 3200 (±450 lm) Osram Xenarc Cool Blue Intense (£85 each) • 5000K ~ ??? Lumens XenoFlo HID Xenon Bulb Upgrade (light blue/cyan) (£90 each) • 8000k ~ 2,750 lumens Halo Lights (H8) OEM • 3200k ~ ???? lumens LED conversion WeissLicht BLUE (AugenBlau) Version 4 (£96 - Pair) • ????K ~ ??? lumens Lux H8 V4 (£148 - Pair) • Colour settings range- 5,000K - 12,000K ~ ??? lumens Upgrades H8 (708) Xenon Cobalt II Blue Headlight Bulbs (£16 - Pair) • ???? K ~ ??? lumens H8 Ultra Power Bulbs (£14 - Pair) • 5000k ~ ??? lumens Fog lights (H11) OEM • 3200K ~ ???? lumens H11 Philips Diamond Vision Xenon/HID - NOT legal for road use in the EU (£29 - Pair) • 5000K ~ ??? lumens H11 Osram Cool Blue Intense (£32 Pair) • 4200k ~ ??? lumens H11 Ultra Power Bulbs (£14) • 5000k ~ ??? lumens) H11 Osram Night Breaker Plus (£32) • ?k ~ ??? lumens) H11 Cobalt blue COBALT Xenon (£18) Based on the above the best choice seems to be: Main/ dipped beam: Philips BlueVision Ultra Xenon, but expensive compared to the Osram Xenarc Cool Blue Intense. The clincher would be lumens, but I can't find any info on the Osram to compare with the Philips. Halo Lights (H8) WeissLicht BLUE (AugenBlau) Version 4 seem to be the best LED option, but I can't find info on lumens and colour temperature. The H8 (708) Xenon Cobalt II Blue Headlight Bulbs and H8 Ultra Power Bulbs look like temptingly priced alternatives, but I have no idea how these bulbs would compare to the WeissLicht BLUE (AugenBlau) Version 4. Presumably too bright in terms of loss of definition of the halo's? Fog Lights (H11) H11 Osram Cool Blue Intense. Any help/ advise much appreciated! Last edited by Ao1; 12-26-2013 at 09:55 AM.. |

Has anyone tried these LED's? I wish I knew the lumens for the standard H8 bulb to help compare.

Hey all,
Finally decided on the BMWLED 20W Halo lights, along with their LED Fog lamps. I got the halo lights used from an e90poster, who just upgraded to the BMWLED 40W bulbs (he mentioned the upgrade wasn't really worth it so I was glad to help displace the costs of the new set). They installed very easily, though I had to zip tie the fog LED resistor wiring to the bumper to protect it a little bit. (Note - I was able to access the fog lamps easily by turning the wheel, removing about five wheel inner fender screws, and peeling the liner back.) I took a couple pictures for comparison to stock (Nikon D3100). I won't claim they're better/brighter/etc than Lux, but for 30% of the price, I'm very happy with them. The color matches the xenons very well and they're a significant improvement over the halogens. |

I did take one picture while it was still light out before swapping the OEM halogen out. Hope this helps! (Try to ignore the holes in the bumper from a poor license base design.) [EDIT] I forgot to mention that the FOG lights do a "cold test" on startup to make sure they are operating correctly. This can be coded out but in the meantime, every time I start my car they flash like a strobe light about 15 times. Kind of obnoxious, hopefully I can learn up on coding soon... |

The 20W are not that bright. We discontinued similar options over 6 months ago. The 40W are good. We have a 50W coming soon and 80W kit that are much brighter and provide excellent output in the day time. Should you ever consider an upgrade in the future hit us up. |
