Transmission Oil Pan Leak !!!

I was installing new quad tips yesterday and noticed a small leak from the transmission oil pan.

Somebody had the same problem some time ago:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...mission&page=2

In the above case the dealership changed the complete oil pan (24 11 7 571 217) which includes the oil pan gasket.
Check this illustration: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E9...ga6hp19z_sump/

Since my car is no longer under the warranty I am wondering if this is OK to change only the gasket (24 11 7 571 235) and the sealing sleeve (24 34 7 588 725). The complete oil pan is pretty expensive and I don't think it is really need to change it.
What do you guys think ?

Moreover my dealership said I would need to pay for new transmission oil since they will need 9,5L.
Again, in the above case the dealership just added some oil, so it would mean he reused the old oil after changing the oil pan. Is that correct ?
Can I reuse my old oil ? How can I check the transmission oil level ?

Please help. Thanks.

I'm no expert but I believe you could reuse the pan unless the problem is with the pan. Once you remove the gasket you must replace it. There is another source for the trans oil which is like a generic equivalent and cost much less but still isn't cheap. I think once you have the pan off you probably should go ahead and replace all the oil. I'm not sure about checking the level. I believe it's the same as the engine oil. Electronically monitored.

Thanks Blk07335i.
I would also like to hear other people sharing their opinion on this.

Do you know how much oil goes there ? If there is no way to check the oil level I would at least fill it with the recommended amount.

Garage List
just replace the sleeve and pan gasket. keep the trans fluid you drain. you will prob. need another quart or 2 to top if off afterwards.

I'll do that.

Just a few more questions:
What is the total amount of oil I need to refill the transmission with ?
How do I refill the fluid? with a pump ? Where is the refill plug on my E92?

Thanks.
