Meth Logs & Virtual Dyno 50/50 and ~70/30 mix
Went out this weekend and did a number of logs with meth. I just installed this kit and am trying to find the optimal set up. My car is an E92 335i with JB4 G4, AR DP, BMS DCI, BMW Performance exhaust, and 2.2G trunk mount meth kit with FSB and CM12 nozzle. The first log is with 40 additive and a 50/50 meth mix; I used turbopower WW fluid here (after reading that it worked well for Dzenno). The second log is with 40 additive and ~70-30 meth mix using methyl hydrate from Home Depot (over 99% pure meth).
Log 1 (First two logs) Conditions : ~12.9 psi atmospheric station pressure, ~3500 ft elevation, 40F, 3rd gear Log 2 (Bottom two logs) Conditions: ~12.9 psi atmospheric station pressure, ~3500 ft elevation, 22F, 3rd gear Virtual Dyno for Log 2 : Tire height 24.97, Car Weight 3527lbs, Occ. Weight 310 lbs (gf, dog and I), Final Drive 3.08, Barometer 26.264, Air Temp 22F Interesting to note that I got more timing on the 50/50 mix as opposed to the stronger concentration. I would have thought that increasing the mix would help with the timing correction I have been seeing around 4000rpm in log one and in another log using ~70% meth. I am curious as to why I am not able to run more timing as a result of a higher meth concentration and why my trims looks so much higher? Any thoughts? |
