If i only knew this car it would seem normal i suppose, but my last 04 z4 3.0i had lightning quick reaction time. Which was how i was actually able to beat so many cars in 0-60 type scenarios, not to mention into and out of turns. This 335is feels closer to my previous sedans ive owned.
To me it looks like the "hesitation" is traction control flashing and limiting power.. disable it completely and try again

You can't with the 335is DCT software. Launch control only works with it "half" off.

I do believe you have reduced the issue to the lowest common denominator... 🤪😁

And that does suck about launch control only working with traction only being in the half off setting.

It will work with it totally off too dude. It just frys the tyres though. The launch with dtc enabled is the most effective. I dont experience the bog that i can see in the vids of launch control posted here.

Since it says you have to rev to 5000k, is it pretty noisy and sound/look absurd to do in the afternoon commute on the way home if first at the stoplight...

1. Press the DTC button once (the orange "DTC" will show up in the dash)
2. Press the Sports button
3. Move the shifter left to S, and up, so you're in manual 1st gear
4. Press the brake with your left foot all the way
5. Press the accelerator all the way down past the kickdown point (you will see the flag and engine will hold revs at about 5k rpm)
6. Let go of the brake to launch. Do not take your foot off the accelerator, keep it floored.
question about launch control, will it change gears for you (like at redline), or do you still need to manually change gears?

Soon i would really like to try it.

I moved to Honolulu in March and bought this car and only drive it to work and back minus about 2 trips around the island with the top down and the only single spot i have found a stretch of empty road was on a military installation across from Pearl Harbor and i did manage to squeeze in a few 0-60 runs with the cobb thing telling me how slow i was before a car started driving towards me and i drove off.

I am not sure when the next time will be and or even where i should go. One coworker told me about a meeting point under a bridge at 11pm on friday or maybe it was saturday nights but honestly im either drunk or sleeping at that time and that sounds like a prime opportunity for coppers if it is that well known.

My only other chance would be from a red light in a 35mph zone in traffic with a bunch of pedestrians walking around. So its not that im avoiding it, its that for the first time in my life i just cant.

If this was okinawa (where i was the last 6 years) the day i bought the car i would have already tried it out until the car was hot...
