Wanted - Wheels for E91

Hi all,

As title I am looking for some wheels for my E91 320D M non LCI. I currently have 194's but it looks like I need at least 2 new tyres & 3 of the wheel need a refurb so I thought I would try & source a different set.

Am looking for 18s or 19s & wheels must be straight & true & have as litle damage as possible. Tyres should be at least legal to get me going for a while.

Anything considered, budget £600-£700 but may go a little higher for the right wheels.

Thanks.

Have a set of 19" CSL style wheels in anthracite with nearly new tyres all round. They are straight, with only slight kerbing. They were slightly wide for the rear on my e92 so should be fine on your e91 with its deeper wells. Looking for £750. They are listed on wheelwhores:http://www.wheel-whores.com/classifi...te-5x120&cat=4

Check out CM Wheels. Good selection of OEM style plus others, and great quality and customer service. Very pleased with my 19" CSL style rims in gun metal

Syfer, here you go:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=773462
Pics of wheels and more info on tyres. Getting to the point where I need them gone as I'm out of storage space and they will not fit my car so I've bought yet another set.
They will fit E9x with 4 pot engine, or e46.

Thanks for that. I like the wheels & they are especially attractive with the winters on at this time of year but I think they are going to be too cost restictive for the E9X as spacers will be required on all 4 wheels.

From what I can gather the wheels are as follows:
7.5 x 17 ET41 Front
8.5 x 17 ET50 Rear

My 194's are
8 x 17 ET34 Front
8.5 x 17 ET37 Rear

A quick look at spacers (10mm front, 15mm rear) & bolts & we are looking at £150 - £200 for the 4!

These were run without spacers on an E91 320d. Whether the offset was right nor not I cannot comment but they fitted without issue on that car and I would have been happy to run them on mine if only they'd have fitted!

They are all 7.5jx17,
Fronts say IS25 offset, part number 2 229 480.
Rears say IS47 offset, part number 2 229 980.

Bear in mind offset can be different as clearance for snow chains is also allowed for, apparently.

I see now. As the tyres are staggered I presumed the wheels were different width too. After more research these appear to be the E46 M3 winter set, both 7.5 wide with 25 & 47 offset. They just have the wrong tyres, they should all have 225/45/17 I think:

http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ - page 4, style 68.

From this I would think the front will sit similar to my current 8" wide 194's & look great but the rears would need at least 15mm spacers to make them look correct. IMHO of course, anyone tell me if I am correct??

No, they don't have the wrong tyres: they're perfectly suited to this wheel.

205/50 has a 1mm difference in rolling radius to the 225/45 tyre and is perfectly fine on a 7.5 rim according to the tyre spec. I checked this before I bought them because I had the same concern.

You could not put 205 on an 8" wheel.

The rears would fit on my 330i E91 and looked fine, but it's your call. Where in the country are you, as you're welcome to try them if you're local?

I am in Wokingham, where in Berks are you? Are there any cracks apparent on the inside that you can see? Have they ever been refurbed or repaired to your knowledge & do you happen to know the year of the car they came off?

Thanks.

I'm in Bracknell! They have no cracks that I know of I've looked all though the inside of the rim nor any repairs! They have been reconditioned on the face not sure if powder coated or not! I bought them a few months ago was going to use them as a winter set or possibly for track and have them done gloss black but I don't drive the car enough to account for a 2nd set of wheels so going to sell them! They have £1100 worth of tyre on them! If your interested pm me and we can sort out a time to view etc

I am not worried about the tyre sizes at all, it seems well within specs for the wheels etc, just saying they would have originally been supplied by bmw as a specific winter set for the M3 & not for the regular E46 & they would have been fitted with 225's all round.

I am based just outside Reading BTW, hence the interest as you could get them to me.

Thanks.

If you want them, please let me know as I'm in Reading on Sunday. Setting off early tomorrow. The wheels are (I think) from 2002, so I expect they've seen other tyres
