Just quietly change them to Michelin PS2's. She probably won't know the difference. They are still Michelins, right?

LOL. Man, I am so stoked that I can vent in a fit of rage to people who may 'understand' on this forum! Last time I do that...

But here is the scoop on the tires:

Costco put the air (or nitrogen) in low. Added air upto 40 psi, much better, but still not great. The sidewalls rollover even higher psi. Got them swapped today for ps2s. Now fine. Gave the tires to a friend...

Tires are made of rubber. I always buy my own rubber.

Thanks, but you are already known as the "guy who makes almost $200K"

Anyhow, as far as air or nitro, Costco should have put green valve caps on if they used nitro.

I'm glad you ended up giving the tires to a friend, wasn't sure because you had a difficult time dealing with "throwing away" the 7 bills initially...

did your friend know how much you hate the tires? granted they are free to them i'd jump on free tires in a heartbeat. just curious as your reason for this tread was to vent and warn us about how bad these tires are.

Actually the PS2s and PEs - non A/S - have almost and identical tread design - I have had both. She almost got it right - chill out! You should have gone yourself...or at least checked Tire Rack. I'll give you $200 for the tires

ADHD and sageashton: what tires do you use during our short (below freezing temps) winters? Most seem to opt for the Perfomance Winters and I dare to mention UHP A/S in this thread. I used Costco in the past on previous cars and truck for Michelins, but their selection is limited to two tires for the E91 with ZSP.

I honestly really dont drive my car much in the winter cause i have a lifted truck..If your in the AV id recommend going to Tire xpress on 50th in quartz hill he can order u any tire u want for really good prices. And he would be able to recommend a good tire for the winter!!
I honestly dont even put winters on I just keep my 19's with High perfomance tires on em and they actually do really good even in the rain!!

Oh yeah, and we order them from Tirerack or one of the local E90post vendors if we are buying a package wheel/tire. So easy, no mistakes, you get what you want, woman is happy, I'm happy, then she makes me happier!
Thank you... Just what I was thinking... Nothing here makes any sense.

But hey, he makes almost $200k a year!!!

hahahahahahaha. you said "donkey punch".

but to the OP, seriously dude, I'm glad you learned your lesson but you should have known better to begin with. your tires are four of the most important parts on your car.

You are correct. In the H-rated all season catagory The Pilot Exalto A/S is one of the best tires available. It would be a fantastic choice for someone who is looking for a smooth, soft ride with low road noise and very strong wet grip and good light snow traction.

With tires, everything is relative. The Exalto A/S would be very sporty and much better in cornering and steering response to an S- or T-speed rated touring tire like a Michelin Harmony, or Yokohama Avid Touring. However when compared to a PS2, it will feel pretty squirmy.
