Amazed!

Recently registered on the forum, but just got to say that some of members are simply amazing and very resourceful. I couldn't even imagine some of the things that I have seen/read about on here, including this.

I'm definitely interested in some of these coding changes, but not comfortable enough to try it on my own. If anyone in the Tampa/Orlando area is available to do this give me a shout. I'm more than happy to pay for your time and expertise.

So...I don't feel like reading 32 pages, can this be done from a remote location? If not, who lives near Cincy that knows what they're doing? I would love to have a few of these features.

Marcumac - I'm in Cincinnati and just ordered a cable that I don't think will work for my car, but believe will work on your 325. I'd definitely be willing to work on your car.

All - I've got an 09 E90 LCI and from what I've read the car requires a DCAN cable, but I ordered this cable before I realized that. I do have a serial port on my laptop. Will this cable not work on my car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Quick question for someone that knows.....
I installed the MOST adapter for the IPOD last year sometime. I never had the radio flashed for the update. My car did not with the CD changer option.....and I recently installed the sirius module.
Here's my question: If I add the cd changer option and the sirius module option to the VO will this allow me to use the my ipod and the sirius? My cable should be here in a week or so so hopefully I can get both of these to work

I saw someone posted "Fuel Stop Suggestion in Route Guidance" in the spreadsheet. What exactly is that feature? Is it a caluclation in iDrive to tell you how many times you need to fill up before you reach your destination? Does it also locate the gas station for you?

Eject Key Fob with Engine Off - this is kind of a cool feature for lazy people.

Someone was able to code "ALC_DISABLE_AUSGL_NICK_GW". What exactly is this feature?

Ooh, thanks for the spreadsheet link. I will add a few that I have discovered on my own.

I put those first two on the sheet... for the fuel stop suggestion you can go to "Route Information" when you're going somewhere and it will tell you at what point(s) along your journey you'll likely need to fill up... you can then select that notice and it will tell you about stations in the area at that point on your trip. Sadly I was able to make it from Richmond, VA to NYC tonight without needing to fill up so I can't tell you how it works while you're on the road.

I might take you up on that, thanks. So far no ones had any side effects or warranty issues after coding, have they?

Sounds like you're either missing files in your C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E89 folder or the files are corrupt.

I have a 2008 128i and before pulling the plug on a cable purchase, is the one linked to below correct for my car? Also, is this the one that there have been reports of low quality?

Understandable, but honestly xxxjecxxx, thank you! Your post and DIY allowed me to fix the only thing that I really didn't like about the BMW when I test drove it: No digital Speedo. I've since coded many other things and I'm thrilled that I donated to you. I still hope others follow suit because you've opened up a whole new method for DIYing our cars around here and done us a great service. Thanks again!

Have you tried any programming on the e65s yet? I was wondering if you could help me code a couple things on my 745, I'm in Tampa.
