I did not buy a BMW, however I bought a 2008 Nissan Altima in September 2008 from Nationwide Nissan in Timonium, MD. I bought the Millenium Tire Warranty for $1,200 at the time of purchase. Since the car was new, I did not need Millenium's services as of yet and therefore paid $1,200 for NOTHING. Is there anything I can do about this!?! I called the Dealership (Nationwide) and they said Millenium is bankrupt and I will probably not see any of that $1,200 back and/or never receive the free tires, etc. that I paid for in the warranty. This sucks...what can I do?! I just threw $1200 out the window, Help!

I too am a policy holder for Tires for Life and have experienced the lack of interest from Northwest BMWs service and sales team with regard to honoring the tires contract. This is very dishearting for me too. I am intereseted in learing more about case that was filed against NW BMW.

Third party warranties are just that... third party. Northwest BMW has been more than helpful during this unfortunate circumstance. Thank you very much for your class action lawsuit. That means all the help we have been getting from the dealership will now go away. And the thought that you will be getting three times what you paid for the warranty is just great, however we will pay ten times that when the great deals we get on our cars at Northwest go away. They have taken care of not only me, but all of the people I have spoken to in the same situation. The level of service coming from Northwest BMW is above and beyond anything I would normally expect from other dealerships. Good luck with your three times lawsuit and backstabbing actions. Especially those to whom two thousand dollars is like buying a new pair of shoes. Jonnygotscrewed - I hope you get just that, screwed, ten times over. You little cry baby. I will continue to use Northwest because I refuse to abandon a dealer that has always been there for me no matter what. I not only look at the PEOPLE who work there as aids when it comes to my car, but as FRIENDS. I'm sure all of you have made relationships at your own hometown dealership, just think that this will affect them as well, the people you turn to when you have a problem.

Hey if Northwest broke the law they need to be held accountable...end of story. from what the message boards read Northwest is one of the dealers NOT HELPING THEIR CUSTOMERS...GOLDEN RULE DEALER>>>>NOT...at least i have read Schomp is taking care of customers. and for the record Third Party Warranties are between the third party and the customer UNTIL THE SELLING DEALER BRAKES THE LAW and doesnt verify proper insurance. then the selling dealer has commited fraud, and can be held reponsible. 3 times contract cost should be more than enough to cover tires for every customer. Certainly dont work for the dealership, and what law did they break? Obviously you know nothing about the law because in order for the company to be legitimate they must have insurance. The dealer need not verify that. All the dealers sold the same product from the same company. For every person who got screwed out of money there are 50 who made out ten fold versus what they paid for the warranty. And yeah, I can admit some people got screwed but so did I. The services I got through the warranty would have been less to pay for out of pocket but you dont see me bitching like a little girl. The company filed bankruptcy, its two grand, move on. And by the way, if you're driving a $100,000 M6 and cant afford tires, you must be car poor and paying more for your car than for your rent in your 1 bedroom studio apartment. Glad to see you're above name calling, seems like you are the immature ass. Good luck waiting at court, you will be there for a while you pompous prick.

Good Evening, first let me start off by saying I am a Tires For Life Customer as well as an attorney. The Tires For Life Contract the Dealers sold was illegal, read the filing above I did. It violates Transportation Article Subsection 15-311. It is up to the dealership to make sure that the Mechanical repair Policy or Service Contract they offer is properly insured & approved by the Maryland Insurance Division..and if it was, we wouldn't be having this discussion on this forum. You see under this statute the customer is supposed to be able to make a direct claim against the insurer listed on the Contract not just the administrator Millenium...Whoops there's no Insurance company listed...Now if this was an oversight by the Dealership or Millenium misrepresenting themselves, it doesn't matter. The law is there to protect the consumer from exactly this, a ponzi scheme that leaves the paying consumer with a worthless contract. Can anyone say "Madoff"... so you see, or at least an attorney will.. every customer will receive a full refund...ITS THE LAW

Hello all, I purchased an X5 from BMW of Towson, and I also purchased the Tires for life package. I took my car back for a regular ckeck, only to find out that I needed a new tire. Well I had the protection, so I thought. After a few days and a few phone calls, I found out that the Millinum Tire Company had filed bankrupcy, WOW. Towson BMW, told me that they they were insured and it should not be a problem, well, to my surprise, I got all the lettere from both companies, and I am stuck, I also had to purchase (4) four new tirew $400 a piece

This is Crazy! I just bought my 335 and was convinced to buy the Tire Warranty, and to my surprise I just realized it was Millenium. How are they still selling these warranties if they aren't being covered? Does anyone know how long you have to cancel this warranty or if it's possible? It's only been six days thus far.

I highly doubt you have a Millenium Tires For Life Contract...more than likely your policy is from IAS...California is the most strict state when it comes to "service contracts". if you still believe you have a Millenium contract, fax it to 410-269-5452...with name and address on cover page..thanks

LoyalCustomer... I do not appreciate you calling me a crybaby cause I was ripped off by Northwest Honda. Your morales are seriously screwed. If I were you I would not be so friendly with car salesmen who rip people off. What comes around goes around. I hope Northwest loses it's ass over this. If they are lucky they have insurance that will cover them when being sued. Else, they will be screwed just like all the people they screwed.

I found this page after searching Google for Northwest BMW Complaint.

When we bought our car this spring Northwest in OM MD tried SO HARD to sell us the Millennium tire plan. I agreed to it at first, but after I got home and read the fine print I decided to back out. Millennium requires frequent tire rotation or their now defunct warranty is null and void. Frequent tire rotation is a pain in the rear and a good reason for the dealers to get cars in their garage for service ($$$$). It took me 3 trips to the dealer and several phone calls to get them to remove 3 items from the contract totaling around $6k.


Fast forward;

We had an oil change done last week. Northwest says we need two front tires, $1200 installed . I asked the mechanic to show the dangerous "blisters" to my wife. Neither of us can see them. I have experience working on cars. We did not purchase new tires. The very next day the computer tells us that one of the tires is going flat. We check the tires and one rear tire was inflated to 80psi. I suspect this was done in order to trigger the computer and get us back into the shop where we could be raked over the coals for fresh rubber. Shady.



I hope that you guys get something back from the dealers for what you paid for the tire plan.

I just was informed that the lawsuit in Maryland is active and will go before a judge in the next several weeks....anyone belonging to this group should maintain contact with the attorneys handling the case...
