Just want to revive this thread since I found it very helpful for me. I followed the reviews and purchased my current setup, which are H&R sport springs, Koni yellow sports shocks, E36/E85 bump stops and new front spring pads. They are put onto my 2012 E92, and after two days of a little over 50 miles driving, I am very pleased with the setup. Ride feels about the same as OEM, and with my rear tires changed to non-RFT Michelin Pilot Super Sport, my ride actually feels softer going over bumps and dips.

^ good call on the bumpstops. I'm sure they'll help ride quality alot with those springs.

No problem OP, I would've probably gone for coils if I did not see this thread. I am glad I went with this spring + shock combo.

Here are some before and after pictures of my drop.

What setting did you use or recommend for the Koni Yellows to?

This sounds great! I am looking forward to getting this exact setup on my car. Just ordered the bumpstops and my Koni Yellow dampers are on the way, with my H&R sport springs waiting here.

Is it necessary to change the front spring pads? What benefits are there? could they just utilise my original ones?

^ If you've got less than 50k miles, no need to change the spring pads. If you've got more miles, I would f/r, plus change the upper rear shock mounts and the upper strut mounts as they're a wear item

To be honest I got some new pads because I just want all parts new, I like my suspension components done right the first time around.

Since your car is an 07, I would def. recommend a set of new spring pads.

How much do you think the following parts would set me back?
Spring pads
Upper rear shock mounts
Upper strut mounts (is that front and rear?)

I have not heard many people changing these items...

Just to not let this very good thread be forgot. Really helpful and it has helped me to put together what I think is a properly matched setup.

H&R Touring Cup Kit
E36M3 Bump stops
E86Z4M Bump stops

I will install and comment what the setup is like.

I want to bring back this thread from dead.

I am looking in to buying FK Coilovers. I've been told that they don't come with bump stops, but I can see front's having them in pics.

People who had E36M3/E86Z4M bump stops, could you please weigh in and give me your opinions? If you have to do it again, would you do the same bump stops?

Sorry to bump such an old thread but...

Does anyone know the actual part number for the e90 performance springs?

Turner lists the fronts as 336788891 and the rear as 336788898; however, when doing a search the rear number doesn't show up anywhere except for Turner's website.

Just plugging in some different numbers on ECS I've come up with this.

Front:
336788891: listed as "front coil spring", photo of yellow spring, no models listed (Turner listed #)
336788892: listed as "front coil spring" photo of yellow spring, no models listed
336788893: listed as "BMWP front coil spring", photo of yellow spring, applicable to 1M coupe and 135i
336788894: listed as "front coil spring", no photo, no models listed

Rear:
336788898: part doesn't exist (Turner listed #)
336788899: listed as "rear coil spring", no photo, no models listed

536788898: listed as "rear coil spring". photo of yellow spring, no model listed
536788899: listed as "rear coil spring", photo of yellow spring, applicable to 1M coupe and 135i
536788900: listed as "rear coil spring", photo of yellow spring, no model listed
536788901: listed as "rear coil spring", no photo, no models listed

Based on that I'm assuming there's a typo on Turner's part and the number should start with 5. So are the numbers 336788891 and 536788898 correct for the e90?

I went through the drill with Evan at getbmwparts.com and with my local dealer. Tried to get an answer from Evan by describing "2007 328i E90 with automatic transmission". His response was "give me the last 7 of your VIN". So I did, and he gave me part numbers, but no spring codes. Fronts ended with 1, can't recall on the rears and I deleted the PM.

The stock ZSP springs can be different for different E90: example mine were D5 /D4 f/r while an msport owner showed me D7/D5 f/r. Maybe there are different parts for different flavors of E90?

If you're planning on buying new, perhaps PM Evan, give him your VIN and he can tell you definitively?. I think their pricing is very close to what ECS shows anyhow.

I understand this is an old thread so hopefully you guys are still monitoring this.
I'm trying to get the same setup with Koni yellow and H&R Springs. I need some help in verifying the part number for the bump stop for the rear.

I get that the front bump stop for E36 M3 part number is 31332225377.

But based on reading the forum, I saw two different suggestions for the rear bump stop. Either getting the E85 Z4 or Z4M.

I have 33536770350 (Z4) and 33507836826 (Z4M) as the part number.

Which one is the best fit for Koni Yellow Sport that you would recommend?
Anything else I should get?
How about the dust cover and/or strut/shock mounts?

Any feedback is very appreciated.
Thank you guys.
