Talking Lux V5 Installed

Hey guys I just finished installing my Lux v5 on my 2009 e90. Took me less than an hour because it was my first time ever touching my headlights lol. Just popped the hood and took off the cover of the angel eye area and went at it. If you have large hands it sucks and prepare to cut yourself!

Well enough of the chatter here are the pics. Shoutout to Lux as I ordered these Monday and received them Friday across country If you have any questions guys please let me know!

Lux >>>> Stock

All done!

Probably would have had less wear and tear on the hands, if you'd have gone through the fender liners.. Much better access through there. I put a set of 5.2s in a couple of months ago and, they are much better than the stock halogen bulbs by a large margin. Now, Lux has announced the v6 light modules, for less money... Argh!

Or gloves. I still have marks on my hands from the install over a month ago. Those V6's are for the pre-lci I believe.

Yeah.. Now that I've reread the post, I see the OP has an LCI car with the H8s.. Still, all in all, great results from the lamp module change..

I like my Mtecs but they aren't bright enough for me. I compared them to Lux and they're about the same brightness too. Lux being slightly brighter. It's just the way the Pre-LCI AE are made. Sucks, but at least I have the Infiniti Q60 TT to look forward to

Are the v5.2's pretty bright? I don't see many e90 sedans out here with led's

They are a marked improvement over the halogen lamps.. That said, Lux now has a set for the pre-LCIs that boast over 800 lumens output per side.. The latest v6 for the pre-LCI.

Daytime pics, still happy but I may need to adjust the bulbs. If you were a car in front of me you would see both eyes perfectly however up close from different angles it varies. Overall still happy!

I was part of the same order with the OP, got mine in in about an hour. However, to give my big hands some more room I moved the vacuum canisters when installing the passenger side to get some additional space. No cuts for me!

Here are mine set at 5700K.
