I want one, i want to play with it and see if i can help progress it! Your so close to a perfect design, are you going to make a mold and then just press copies? I think i can design a low profile concave shell that could easily be covered in the dash material for an intergated look. I love this!! Any plans on using an existing universal holder inside your design to easily adapt to other tablets? Where do the wires route into the dash? Any clip on fiber optic solutions to give a higher camera position? (like a periscope? Ive seen the clip on fish eye lenses and the zoom lenses, figure its possible...) I really want one, any other prototypes or defectives laying about just getting in the way? I could store one for ya! Great job!

I think he make custom you have couple choices
1 buzz widget you can make your own widget buttons etc
2 total luncher this is more than widget
3 power toggles wifi sound etc

Sorry guys, been out of the country for the past month and a half. But yeah, the design is pretty much done and functional, but the main issue has been finding a reliable printer to make the part. Unfortunately I don't have the time/money to keep throwing at getting prints made, so I'm probably going to look into putting it up on shapeways this weekend. It's probably going to be a lot more expensive than I would have liked, but at least this would hopefully make it available for anyone who wants one now.

The mount is designed specifically for the 2013 Nexus 7, but I'd like to make one for other popular tablets once I finish this one. Unlikely there will be a one mount fits all solution as I wanted these to be as slim as possible. I think most people are tucking their wires into the trim and sending them down to the center console from there.

It's actually a custom rom I made, it's pretty basic aside from a few things I added for the car (immersive mode, nav bar height, media buttons on the navbar, and a couple other minor things). I can post it up later this weekend if anyone is interested in it.
