Hi Pete.
Thanks for getting back to me.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I don't remember seeing any bare wires.

Cheers

The wiring loom for the Mki9100 is such a huge mess of wires, but if you look @ the manual or take a look at your loom, you should see 3/4 wires. Ground / L & R.

I just tried to google for the diagram, but failed to find it.
I saw it in the manual.

I think I know the ones you mean! I forgot about them as looked at them briefly and thought "useless", rolled them up and kept them out of the way.

So then I just need to snip an end of a 3.5mm jack, connect these wires to the "useless" ones on the parrot kit!

So would this then mean that music from the I-pod (connected with USB on the parrot kit) is listened to on the aux, and then when a call comes in, the music is automatically muted??

I like this!!!

Yup

Once you have the 3.5mm jack soldered on and connected, make sure you change a setting in the Parrot kit to disable its internal amp.
Cannot remember how the options is phrased, but you should be able to find it easily enough.

Cool, had a play about with a spare aux cable yesterday so pretty much good to go.

Just two question...

I take it I only need to connect this to one line out?
I.e. connect the aux to E Line out 1 +&-
F line out remains "useless".

And...

The are 3 cables in the aux cable (right, left & ground).
Does the ground need to be connected to anything?

The ground one can be routed to any bolt on the chassis, I ran mine back to the glove box fusebox and then loosened the securing bolt on the box and added the wire.
Also my power source is the red wire under the centre console to the cig lighter, again easy to do just lift up the gear gator and then the trim and you see the wire.

Didn't use anything else as the harness you buy as well has all the connections.

Did the same with the live cable.

Are you sure the ground from the AUX cable would need to be grounded to a bolt??

Right....

Decided to have a go at this today.

I managed to spilt an RCA to Aux cable and have it wired as above.

Do I need to chnage the wiring set up of the Parrot, Harness Adaptor and head unit? Or is there a setting on the parrot to send the audio to line out??

I'm guessing if I do the re-wire as per the above diagram, then the harness adaptor is not required?

Driving me bananas, i thought this should have been a straightforward thing to do!!

The bolt or screw holds the fusebox in place and was the easiest option and makes sure the ground wire doesnt get loose.

Did yo buy the seperate wiring harness ?, as you wont need to start cutting or joining wires if yoiu did. Its all plug and play, just go on youtube there are plenty of vids to help.

Right,

The ground on an AUX cable does not need to be grounded. I have this sorted now.

Obviously, the ground for the Parrot kit itself, does need to be grounded.

Parrots just need to release the much promised software update to remove the bugs.
