What is the dragstrip called, do they have a website. Is saturday like a test and tune thing? I have not been in the bmw yet and just got the cobb installed, would be cool to see what it runs.

Firebird has open nights at their dragstrip and they have open drifting nights sometimes also if you want to try that.
Firbird international raceway is the name of the place. Bondurant does school there too.

So my parents are coming in two weeks to visit. Any really cool places that might be nice to show them? South Mountain is definitely on the to-do list but other that than I was just going to show them around the area, must be a few cool spots.

If you want a shop to do the Exhaust install try Ultimate Auto in Scottsdale. Greg is a great guy and the owner. His car is a BMW and he races them as well and for some reason that always makes me feel better knowing they are actual BMW enthusaist as well as working on them. (I usually take it as a good sign when the owner of the shop actually drives the cars he works on.) I have had two turbos, wastegates and manifold replaced by them and I was very happy with their work.

Thanks for the info and as for the tracks, I was don't know if there are any autocross/road racing tracks. That's why I was asking. I can run high 14's (maybe?) all day at the drag as I'm so with my 3700lb car.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where I can take my car in to get the CDV delete done? (I have the modified valve) .. I don't want to do it myself really .. don't want to deal with bleeding the clutch etc.

Justice at JNF Kustomz did mine but I know he's moving his shop right now and dealing with family stuff .. I'm not exactly sure where he's at. I can find out if you'd like? He's a friend of mine. Would charge about 400 bucks for prep, paint, clear, wetsand, and polish. You have to clear the shit out of these Carbon Fiber trunks as you'll be doing a fair amount of wet sanding to get rid of the shrinkage. Carbon Fiber loves to soak that shit in :P

J Blackwell from Penske in Scottsdale can also do it. He painted another members trunk on here and it looked really good (saw it in person). I'm not sure how much time he spends on the forums as he was parting out his car but you may want to try him via PM.

Bo's Motor Works would probably be my recommendation. Give them a call and get a quote. If it's a decent quote, ask them if we get a discount if you bring another car that wants it done as well. I'll bring mine

Hi guys, I'm installing an alarm retrofit kit in my E90 LCI and am stuck. I am having problems removing the fuse panel from behind the glove box. There are four T20 star screws that I can't seem to reach. Has any one ever removed these before or know someone who has? I'm willing to pay someone (person or shop) to do this part for me or get some good advice. I wasted a lot of time this weekend just on this step.

I hard wired a radar detector into the fuse box but I didnt have to remove it. Does it have to be removed when doing an alarm?

Taking my new car to Vivid tommorrow or Tuesday to get it dynoed. Curious to see what kind of numbers it puts out.(feels pretty strong and I can calibrate my butt dyno at the same time.

Soulja, I have a bt cable if you want to borrow it for a while. I dont have JB though

Thanks for the info, J Blackwell hasn't responded back yet so I might have to look around some more. I would prefer the trunk to be shipped directly to the paint shop, so need to find a professional place, most likely it's going to be somewhere in Scottsdale.

Actually I'm going to hold off a few weeks. I decided on ordering a UUC SSK+DSSR so I might as well hold off till then. No reason to repeat work yanno?

That's cool. Let me know if you want me to give Justice @ JNF a call. I know he's out of action for medical reasons for another week or two.

If you want to stay in Scottsdale, do your best to get ahold of J Blackwell and let him know you're a e90 member. If you decide to call the others, get the KY out.

It's not my intent to rain on Soulja's parade but (Quisp) remember that the different BT cables have different amount of VINS available to them.

BT Basic - 1 VIN
BT Enthusiast - 3 VINS
BT Professional - Unlimited VINS

Just don't want you to be surprised when he can't use your Basic, you bought your Enthusiast used with only one VIN left, or you try and sell your BT and it's not worth as much as you only have one VIN left.

Stimpy, I forgot about that, and I just got a new car msyelf so I need to check whic one i got. Thanks for pointing that out.
Allyd, let us know if you find a place that does good paint work. Have a front lip, rear bumper, side skirts, and rear lip that I will need to get painted Alpine White. Dealership wanted $2500 to paint and install which seemed a bit pricy but I am not sure.
