I take it you wanted to make it look like a Subaru WRX, or is that just an unfortunate coincidence?

Nice build bro! What widebody fenders are these? And are the m3 fender legit wide m3 ones or just stock widths with the m3 style side marker ? Always been curious to see a widebody done with rep fenders if this is the case with yours.

It looks like you tacked on some fender extensions like you would on an 80's pickup to hide the rust.
There are right ways to do a wide body on these cars. This isn't it. Here is just one example of how to do it right: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...091177&page=15 |

Yikes. Those first pics looked beautiful, the M3 Sideskirts, the added M3 fenders. I was thinking to myself, this guy is doing the widebody properly. And then I see tacked on rivet fender flares. I'm sorry to be harsh, but it looks terrible and extremely tacky. How long until we add the Lambo doors, GTS blackout headlight/taillight lenses and a non-functional 747 wing bolted to the trunk?
Nitrousbird link above is spot on for a proper WB build. That is drool worthy. But doing it correctly takes lots of time, work and money to do properly. It's not just a couple of rivets and a flakey Maaco paint job. |
