Go to Parkview and check "Performance centre " in basement. Black one and orange wrap. Look terrible.

maybe try doing it yourself.. if you want to save..
i think you can buy enough material to wrap your car for under 500. Seen someone just watched youtube video and learn, did a good job for the first time. shouldn't be too hard.. |

How do you clean and care for a wrapped surface?

just soap/water then dry it with microfiber cloth....best thing is no need to wax the car anymore
I was told by Shinzo that if you see light marks, just use heat gun or hair dryer blow on it, the light marks should be disapper, I haven't try that yet. |

Guys just wondering if you can run into problems with this, if you get pulled over and the colour doesnt match the papers or if you get into an accident and the report or adjuster sees that its black. Well esp for ppl that doesnt have a black car.

Also where can you buy the matte wrap? I'd rather DIY, plus it would be a great experience.

Not properly cleaned, and you wrap your car. You are in serious trouble after 3~4 years.

If I am doing it, I am going to detail my car first. Also I am not planning to keep it for 3-4 yrs, at most will be 2 yrs. I might do this next year since my car is only 9 months old, so still pretty new.

this is base on my MINI. If just the wrapped itself, it was $2200. I also and the belt line wrapped, and the rear tail light tinted by them. At the end it came out some around $2500. Took them 1 week to finish the whole car. Will I do it again, yes. I am thinking to get the Q5 wrapped in matte grey. That is going to be $$$, somewhere around $3500

Unique media solutions in oshawa quoted me $1500. But I cannot vouch for quality at all, it was just a quote. Actually the guy seemed kinda desperate and kept emailing me asking if I wanted it done, maybe to do 2 panels now and 3 later etc. Filled up my inbox.

LOL met too, even some of the pro's look like DIY jobs. the wraps look good on the computer, but up close with some of the DIY stuff you see alot of imperfections.
I even have quite a few on my car, you have to understand its a wrap so it wont be 100% like paint.

K, I think it's safe to say that, I'm ready to wrap! Weather getting better, thinking about Shinzu. Anyone else planning on doing a full car wrap? We can maybe go together, though I don't really expect a discount that would mean anything since it's the man hours we are paying for.
A couple of questions... Should I go White matte or Black matte? I haven't seen any cars in person with white matte, so looking for some opinions. I don't trust pictures when it comes to vinyl wraps. I want to do this asap (before the end of May) Going to add eyelids, a drop and 15mm spacers to the wheels. I'm seriously bored of the X6 and need to make it more interesting.
