I just signed for a 2011 335xi msport tonight! I'm getting rid of my 2008 335i This will be my 4th 3 series

I use to only have H&R springs on my car and I switched to a full coilover setup for my 2008 335i. I don't see myself going back driving a car without coilovers. H&R race + oem damper was WAYYYY too bouncy and my car was unpredictable. Once I put coilovers on; the car was like a go kart!

What's my best options for a street coilover for my x drive? Any feedback on the H&R coilovers? No need of camber plates and damper setting. I need them to be easily adjustable.

It's my first xdrive and I have no idea how it works. Is it bad to drop an xi? Would I be able to slam it without issues?

The car will be 90% daily drive and 10% track ( 2 tracking events a year).

Haha 4th 3 series... that's dedication. Can you update on how you feel going to X-drive from RWD?

As for coilovers, I'd personally go with KW or AST 4100's. I heard H&R coilovers become bouncy over time almost like springs with stock dampers.

No, it's not bad to drop an xi.

There are a couple reviews in the xi section and members generally seem pleased with the H&R coils

To the OP:

H&R's will be okay for what you are doing with the car. If you think you will ever do more track days later, you will be much happier with something that offers better valving and custom spring rates. AST 4100 will be at a higher price point, but you do get what you pay for.
