NEED advice on amp/set up

The plan is to add Morels in front doors, replace subs with the SW8's and add audio control dql-8 per tecnic's earlier blogs. So what amps/amp? and how should it be wired? Thanks in advance. Oh, this is in 2009 idrive non logic 7

Since you are planing on using a DQL, you do not need an amp that takes differential inputs, so you can choose just about any 4 channel amp there is. If I were you, I would take a digital amp such as JL Audio HD600/4 or Alpine PDX 4150, since they are small, don't produce as much heat as class A/B amps, can be tucked away out of sight, and don't require as much power. Power output should be at least 150W per channel, to do the SWS-8's justice. If you go with the 2 Ohm version of the SWS, you could potentially get away with a 4x100W amp that puts out around 150W - 200W per channel at the lower impedance.

x2

I would say, get a 6-channel amp/4-ch and a 2-channel and remove the OEM amp if your budget allows. You will have better control of all your system -especially if you are getting a DQL-8 anyways- if you remove the OEM amp from the equation.
