iPhone 3.x solution??

So I just got my car, and my iPhone 3Gs running 3.x software won't play music or charge. I've seen people mention this cablejive adaptor as a solution, but it's not clear if this is a solution for the charging or playing music, or both.

I really need to play my music...charging would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

Can anybody with a 3Gs and 3.x software confirm that this adaptor will work before I order it?

I have an Iphone 3G running 3.1.2 and use the bmw usb cable, it charges and play music.

it depends on which one you have, if you have the usb in the center console it will charge, if its like mine which is plugged into the glove box you need a new adapter..

and to answer your question it will work
