Engine Light E90 320d BMW

So was driving home last night and whilst at a set of traffic lights the car cut out, no warning lights just "choked" and cut out. i started her and she went on ahead no problem.

This morning on the way to work all power just cut out and i managed to free wheel onto a hard shoulder. An amber engine light came out, with a diagnol amber fill to it.

The book states "Full Engine power is no longer available" I disconected the ECU and reconected and now she is displaying a standard solid amber engine light, hoping i can make it to the mechanics after work and it isn't anything too serious!

Has anyone had this happen or know what it might be? I'm guessing fuel pump :L
