Locking Wheel Nut - Gone!!!

My car is with my indy mechanic having an oil service at the moment. I told him that while he had it he may as well replace the rear pads as they only have a tiny bit of meat on them.

He called me yesterday and said he had hunted high and low but can not find the locking wheel nut. I must admit I never checked for it before (stupid I know)

Where can I get one? from a main dealer? elsewhere?

If you have the original locking bolts your dealer will sort you out.

Dealer will try to see which one fits and order one. Think they are about a fiver.

Check the handbook folders.
There 'might' be a card in there with the code for the key.
There are over 50 combinations.
I left mine on the wheel, drove off and lost it. PITA!

Once you get a new one, record the number in the handbook

Many dealers will tell you they don't record the key number. If thats the case then it's trial and error time with the tray of bolts.
