Headlight Work Completed!!!

Ive been contemplating whether to open my headlights and black them out and paint it. but been to scared. Now that I work in the city and my is just sitting collecting dust, I thought this would be the perfect time to do my headlights.

The pics below are what I am up to now. Today i should paint them and everything should be together by saturday. This is going to be a slow process as I am opening them up after work.

P.S.- It takes about 4-5 hours to just open up one headlight. You need a lot of patience.

Looks great OP! Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if anyone has tried opening up the headlight and retrofitting the LCI LED angels eyes into a pre-LCI headlight?

I have one set halfway done. The issue with the LED's is that there isnt really a good mounting solution, so theyll have to be mounted directly to each lens instead of "floating".

Good job so far Joey!

Damn 4-5 hours to open one? Use an oscillating tool. You'll have it open in 20 min. or less for both headlights.

I am contemplating on doing these for money because of the time. If I did have enough time I would.

Why would you want to do that? Theyre the same rings just different LED bulbs in my opinion

Yeah man because I did not want to cut the lens as you did. When i reseal it, I would like for it to look as stock as possible. and i did use an oscillating tool

Nope. Probably did the same as you. cut the top part of the housing to access the glue..the pried between the lens and housing. when all back together looks stock. Have never had a leak and I did this last summer. did your second headlight go faster now that you know what youre doing?
