10k service.

Taking my car in for service soon and I am wondering if there is anything special I should change at the 10k mark other than oil and filter. I am paying out of pocket so don't worry about what BMW covers (plan on getting oil and filter changed every 5k miles). I thought I had seen some people recommending some other things to get changed at 10k but I honestly can't remember what it was if anything. So, anything special at 10k?

G'Day Mk335i,

Naaa, the Oil/Filter change is pretty well it. Get them to check for any codes that you may not be aware of.
You could change the Trannie (manual) and Diff oil but that's really not necessary at that low K.

Fritzables.

At 10k miles she is still a baby. If you have any of your trims peeling mention them. If your hear any brake squeal mention that. When you making an appointment?

Well I'm at 9,910 miles, I guess I'll make an appointment tomorrow for a week or so down the line. I usually do the fast service by Randy. He actually told me he could get me the free oil/filter change at 10k for me instead of 15k.

He might be referring to an annual oil service if you don't put that many miles on the car.

I suppose so, he said he would bump it up for me so I wouldn't have to pay at 10k.

What would you do if you were paying out of pocket and were getting 10k service done? Is it worth changing the differential fluid? And FYI, I plan on keeping this car until the wheels fall off.

If you plan on keeping it til you run it to the ground then I would get an extended warranty. I would just follow the regular services and personally would change the oil every 7500 miles.
