I haven't really moved yet and I am living with a relative.. I refuse to drill holes in my car for these plates. They all have bullshit car inspection fees and shit.

Get a plate holder that goes into your tow hook.
I don't need one here, but that's your best bet.

I live in california. Its a $20 fix it ticket if you dont have it. I've been driving cars with no front plate for 7 years now and have never once been stopped. Could just be lucky. Theres alot of front mount's out there that either connect to your tow hook or the bottom of the bumper.

Nothing. When the cop pulls me over for this (which rarely happens), I just smile and say sorry officer I didn't know and they let me off with a warning. I'm guessing the cops here don't care about this too much since I got pulled over 2 times in 6 years for this problem.

Nothing. I still haven't put it on after 6 months of ownership. I'll pay the fines. Fuck it.
It's not like I'm exactly incognito- when I have the top-down I have a coral red interior.
Maybe the cops think that my car looks better without it just like I do
Maybe it has to do the fact that I'm 38 years old... yikes.

Honestly, since I don't have an address here or anything in my name.. living with family thinking about just renewing in my old state. Inspections are the biggest scam I think for money.

I live in Houston and I have yet to be pulled over for no front plate, could just be luck though. But I do drive the speed limit and don't really attract attentions to myself. That might change tho with my new BMW PE ha

I live in Houston too and have never been pulled over. I drove my CTS with no front plate for 5 years in College Station and Houston and got pulled over once for it with a polite warning and I drove off...

Don't put it on and don't worry about it! I just made a 90 minute road trip and passed 4 cops shooting radar, they all could clearly see I didn't have a plate and didn't care.

dont put it on... IF you do get a ticket, you borrow/buy a tow hook plate, get it corrected, and take it off.

thas what I did

I don't like the look of the tow hook mount even if it doesn't require holes in the bumper.

I like the Skene Design solution:

Only pulled over maybe once or twice in 8 years of having a car with no plate. No plans to ever have one on.

Just put the front plate on it isn't the end of the world and I have a hell of lot of other things more important than this...

I ran without a front plate in Washington for a couple of years, no issues. I am now in a state with no front plate requirement and so glad I did not drill holes that would just be sitting there now.

it really depends on which area/city you are moving to.
It's fine without front plate in San Jose area, but I got tickets for no front plate in San Francisco all the time.....

Roommate took the same attitude. He got pulled over for speeding within 5 months or so of owning the car and got that ticket. Granted, he got pulled over for speeding and got let off with that. And plans to put his old German plate back on the front

Mine came (CPO) with a front bracket and plate, so whatever.

I never put one on my cars, never have and never will. On my truck, sure, but on any nice car it is crime to make it look like crap with holes and a bracket.

If you have a bracket on the bumper for the plate, then how do you see the holes?
