Grr Thinking about going FBO this week...

Well i was about to get myself into a GTR, Viper, or new 2012 CLS 550 so i sold all my parts off my N55 tune, DP etc.... But now i got another kid on the way so i need the 5 seats.. LOL So looks like i will either be going FBO or getting a 2011 550i.

I love my car but i don't want to be disappointed going FBO and it just picks up 50-60 more hp..

Honestly, if I had the ability to get myself into a GTR, I would do so at all costs... these cars are monsters. In your situation, I would probably get a GTR and some really cheap SUV (Kia Sportage) to lug the family around. If that option doesn't exist, then the 550i is a monster as well, but you will certainly lose a lot of the fun factor given that a 5 doesn't handle nearly as well as 3 nor does it have the driver feedback.

The gtr insurance is killer. My dad is looking into buying one and the insurance will cost more than his 2010 sl 63

Who in the US can tune a 550i? Flash or Piggy I don't think there are any piggy options yet.

Yeah with the 550 i would want to tune it but i don't think there is any tunes out for it.

My dad has a 550i x drive and Ive driven it quite a bit and its definetly fast! I can only imagine with a tune. However its extremely quiet and definetly needs an exhaust upgrade!
