I honestly don't think people would lease an M3, 318, 320,330and 335 I can see, but an M3... come on
I don't get what you're saying here?

I reckon 90%+ of M3's in the UK are leased.

Lightbulb

Give it a rest.

Do you have to keep trying to piss people off?

You made your comments yesterday and never got the response you desired so you are back again today to have another go.

It's way past time to ban you from the site.

There should be little badges on leases just like the little green badge on Rentals.

The idiot is the one who doesn't buy their car in the cheapest available option.

At the moment leasing or hiring a car is the cheapest way to do it if you only keep your cars 2-4 years.

On many it works out half the price of the depreciation, even using cash.

We're talking about an M3 here, not a 318i..!

It's like leasing an S500.

Exactly, have you seen the lease deals on S350 and S500's??

You can't buy a 5 year old one cash for as cheap as you can lease them.

Its just a way to get one when you cant afford to buy one.

Some cars are made cheap on lease which are good deals. i know someone with a E class merc who did it and got a very good deal.

It amazes me how many people have an exotic car on the drip who obviously live hand to mouth.

Willing to lease a £55,000 car but then put shit tyres on it after complaining about £1200 a set for PS2's

Basically you can lease an M3 for less than you normally would have to pay to HP a 320D.

Go Figure
I get paid monthly, I pay my bills monthly, I pay my mortgage monthly, so why should I not pay my car monthly?

I have bought cash before and regretted it hugely, I bought my M3 CSL cash and the 120d M-Sport, that was £60,000 tied up in metal.

I then financed the 335i that replaced the M3 and the 120d sport at the same time, the 335i was £360 a month and the 120d was £240 a month.
At that point it was less than 10% of my take home wage, I will be honest I didn't even notice it going out. Unlike spending all my savings and watching it depreciate.
If I went bust I would just hand the keys back on a lease and stash my cash, if I went bust with the cars on teh drive they would get taken and I am seriously out of pocket.

We all like to do things differently, I love my cars, but they are way down on my priority list these days.

I bought my E320cdi estate for £18k last Spring, and it has lost £8,000 in 18 months I reckon, plus it has needed new brakes all round, brake fluid service, now needs glow plugs, had a set of tyres and two services, totalling around £1500. I could have contract hired a brand new E350cdi sport estate for £380 a month and had one oil service and maybe swapped the rear tyres. Plus I would have had the benefit of it being a brand new car, with full warranty and better mpg etc.

I feel a right ***t for not hiring it.

Sorry to trump you Mr.Multipleusernames, but I bought my first BMW in 2003, and have been using Falken tyres since then, your 80,000 miles is a mere trifle in comparison to the miles I've covered, mainly on Falken tyres!

I read what JD wrote about the Falkens he has had fitted in the past, however I have not experienced the same scenario as JD fortunately, and my experience of the Falken tyre has only been positive.

I'm talking from experience of the tyre and not those gleaned from a tyre review site, so I have no need to take anything written with a pinch of salt!

You suggest we turn off the internet,I'm not suggesting that at all, but it might be something YOU should consider
How do you rate the Vreds against the 452's Ian?

Better than 452's, or too early to say? All 4 corners?

I bet yours don't last as long as mine

No,just the rears, not ideal admittedly, but the Falkens on the front still have loads of life in them, and I couldn't get 452's anywhere in the whole wide world!

Based on the miles to date,I'd say the Vreds are better than the 452's, they certainly don't spin on take off as much as the 452's, and seem more grippy.

It will be interesting to see how long they last, the TC light is not so disco like as it was with the 452's, so I'm quite optimistic.

For dirt cheap, and being frank, rubbish tyres, both the Falkens and Vreds do reasonably well, but I do feel quite dirty and ashamed for fitting them to my BMW

I'm booked into therapy next week, would you like to come along?
We could form a support group for others

Looks like we're both as guilty as each other

My rears have 3-4mm and the fronts 5-6mm after 20k miles.

I'll bin the rears when I change over to the winters and then put the new ones on in the spring.

I've had 452's on for 5k miles and i'm happy.
Previously had bridgestone RE050 and i think the 452's offer a fairly consistent upgrade in grip, wear and noise. Mostly attributed to the jump from runflats.

I haven't tried every make of tyre but the falkens certainly offer reasonable performance for a good price. I'm sure there's better out there but to pass them off as crap certainly shows ignorance.
