Smoke coming near passenger fog light.

Hey guys. Today I was at the car wash. When they were drying my car, one of the guys called me pointing out smoke coming from around the passenger fog light. It's not the actual fog light but its coming from that area. What do you think it is? Could it just be the cold water touching something hot causing steam? Kinda worried.

If you have the factory oil cooler, I believe that that's about where it would be... so that is probably just steam/water vapor. I hope

I have yet to find a lot of the components on my car because everything seems to be press-fit into it's location... makes working on the '56 Studebaker Golden Hawk that I had for a while (was a "factory hot rod" with a Packard 352 shoehorned into an engine bay designed for a "little" - not really, but much smaller - Studebaker V-8) seem easy and pleasant. And my Jeep Cherokee - again, with a much larger engine that it seems to have been originally designed for - is a walk in the park to work on still, although it too works great when everything is in top shape but has a reputation for overheating at the drop of a hat when not maintained properly.

Were you using your fog lights before going to the wash, and are they aftermarket?
Mine get hot as hell, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was just steam.

Wasn't using my fogs at all. I touched the lens. Definitely was cool to the touch. I can confirm it wasn't from the fogs. It was coming from that area. Around the grey finisher rods. Maybe it could be the oil cooler. I have the sport package so I'm guessing I have the oil cooler.
