Considering this FMIC: http://www.n54tuning.com/er-competit...5/335/535.html

It is for a 335IS. Any thoughts or input would help. thnx
What is the difference in the ER FMIC for the N55 (2011+) vs the N54?

The AA FMIC I had on my N55 (2011 e92) and now have on my N54 (2013 e92) has the same fitment issues. Perhaps the N55 2011+ selection they offer when ordering would have a better fitment for our 335is'...?

I agree there is a serious lack of objective data, which begs the question as to why you say the ER is a better "performer."

I am a proponent of buying parts that are historically reliable and at a good price. ETS, ER, Helix are some brands that come to mind. Whatever I could find in the for sale subforum is what I would buy. Unless the OP has specific needs such as maintaining the stock piping or the desire to avoid cutting anything.
OK well buying a used top rated intercooler at half the price is of course a fair option. I personally don't like used parts, especially intercoolers unless I could inspect it in person but that's an arguement for another day.

I agree on ETS, in fact I run an ETS 5" on my personal 335xi now. I would have went with the ER or the ETS but frankly, I was just too lazy to cut the bumper shroud.

Keep in mind couple things
1- i live in Vegas (120 degrees during summer)
2- I track my car often
3- Its the shop's car so customers often test drive it to see the potential of their stock car if equipped with the right mods.

Op,
Before making any selection ask yourself couple questions.
Are you just looking for an upgrade over stock or do you plan on tracking the car often? What are your whp goals? What is your budget?

No matter what you do, dont get Ebay intercoolers. Most i have seen are worse than stock

Yea they got plenty of other fish to fry.

N54 VS N55 differnces are just the lower intercooler pipe, I believe.

AMS has a 991 platform to develop which is a huge fish!

Man it would be great to know exactly what the differences are, to insure fitment.

Also, it would be nice to know what PSI the silicone up piping is rated for on the Wagner EVO II Comp FMIC. (I've ask the manufacture multiple times, still waiting)... Price on their website is 900USD, so I assume thats MSRP, so nothing at this price or above would be considered a discount IMO... MB listed it at 835...

2011 335is with DCT. Got same last year on BF as well from Mike @N54 tuning. Great service and price. Went with the anodized finish and included the CP with TIAL BOV. See part number in pick.

The difference between N54 and N55 is mainly the lower pipe. It depends on the specific intercooler as they all vary. Some were designed in the N54 era and adapted for N55.

Others were made at the time when the N55 was already out so they made a 1 size fits all.

We have some very competitive Black Friday pricing on Wagner and of course we price match.

The PSI rating is probably moot and over 50 PSI more then likely.

It can handle anything you can throw at it on this platform.
