I have a '11 model of the e89 range with an 663 prof radio (incl bluetooth and USB) and no other modules that require MOST. The spot where the MOST cable should connect at the HU is empty. However when connecting with INPA I shows a MOST - CAN bridge. Whit regular NCSExpert software and USB DCAN, I get an error when coding car or coding the 2Rad module becasue of it.

Hoping that the ICOM emulator solves this. Are my hopes realistic?

I had COM1 so i changed it to COM9 but it still didnt work!

It got connected to my car like the first time, and found my vin number, production date, my vehicle order and much more, but then it suddenly failed when it was doing "control unit mode changeover" and showed me the same four errors just like before..

What can this be?? I got a pre facelift car 2006 modell so it is made before 2007, and i'm using K+Dcan cable with ICOM emulator.

I dont know if this has something to do with ISTA failing, but i got some "K-can line errors" in some of my control units that i can't delete...

CAS error: (error is present all the time and cannot be deleted)

JunctionBox (JBBF) errors: (errorr is present all the time and cannot be deleted)
C904 K_CAN_LOW_LEITUNG
C905 K_CAN_HIGH_LEITUNG

And i also got two K-can line errors in the FRM module too, but those are not present and it's about 30 thousand km since they happend but i still cant delete them..

What does these errors mean??
Is there any way to get rid of them??
Could it have something to do with ISTA failing??

Hi, I need help with using OPS with this version od ISID/ISTA...
I am using vmware image from sensible and got ICOM emulator with snapshots...

I can use USB DCAN cable with this configuration with no problem, but is damn slow and I would like to use OPS with ISTA, simply beacuse I got one...

I have no dongle USB so I'm using snapshot for ENET where ICOM, ifhsrv (not needed with OPS) and ICOM connector are started. In ICOM connector I make change to OPS and enter the appropriate address and it connects with no problem. In ISTA/P I can see ICOM interface but when I try to read VIN it shows it can't be read. It seems there is a problem with the communication between ICOM emulator and OPS.

I tried to change ediabus.ini file:
remotehost = 192.168.68.85
port = 6801

but the results were the same.

In the manual BMW ISID and ISSS for ICOM Emulator with OPS configuration manual in the end of a document it says: OPSshould have latest firmware (636). Maybe this could be the problem. How to update OPS firmware ??

Hi, i have a problem with ICOM emulator. I downloaded ginis files and his instructions. At point 10 i need to activate the "usb dongle", but this option is not listed at my vmware? Someone know why? I only downloaded ISID without ISSS. Did i need ISSS or ISID only ok?

Hi,

you wouldnt have asked if you have an ISIS server, right? Without ISIS it´s not that easy, i think.

Unpack the 2.51.1 jetarch files, then you will find some batch- and vbs-scripts.
Have a look at the scripts, get the infos about pathes and stuff, make sure what they do and then run them in the right order.
You have to act as the ISIS/Jetstream installer.

I never tried this procedure, cause i have an ISIS. Its just an Idea.

Yep you are right i have no isis Server.
Via isis its the normal update way,but i saw sensibles Version and i think he did it manually too because he had to integrate the I-Level after updating.
Via Isis the I-Level must be integrated automatically.I don t know it but i think so.

I made an 'update' post:
(Using Sensible's ISID VM) "Only one Network Adapter( in my case VMnet2) is needed. If your ISID's Network Adapter is set to a different VMnet(#) then you should set the ICOM Emulator VM to the same VMnet(#). The other Network Adapter's ... can be removed entirely(they are NOT needed)."

Regarding the 'snap shot', you need to activate Gini's snap shot of the emulator running with his dongle(not make your own), so you can be 'back to the future'(past the dongle check stage) of the VM, which allows you to go on and use the emulator without a dongle.

To activate Gini's snap shot, in VMware have the ICOM emulator VM's tab active, go to VMware's 'VM' menu > Snapshot > click K+DCAN Start

Note the attached pictures

Also don't forget to start the 'interface handler' (ifhsrv32.exe). Its icon should be on the desktop of the ICOM Emulator VM's desktop.

2nd Istart Gini's Icom Emulator . The Snapshot K Dcan
When Loaded I Change Icom Emulator To Vmnet2.
Then I Connect My Cable And It Is O.k.
