A few pics from work....
So about 3 months ago I changed jobs, I thought it would be nice to share some photos of what I get to look at and go out in most of the day
Needless to say, the novelty hasn't worn off yet! Anyway, here are the pics - taken with my iPhone but you get the idea....

wow, id never tire of looking at things like that all day long!
on the downside, the drive home from work would seem a little uneventful after spending the day with those |

Nice. For a minute I thought there was a 288GTO in there, my all-time favourite, but it isn't Got to love the F40 though...

I'm sure you'd get over it pretty quickly . Who needs to indicate when you're travelling that fast .

I remember our local Fezza garage getting a 288GTO in - I spent a loooong time gawping at it! Stunning car! Dad's mate spun his 308GTS (dad had a 928 at the time) at Goodwood when him, my dad and his mate hired it for a day. The car hit nothing but the spin bent the chassis and it was a write off - DOH!!! |

That's why on first glance I thought it was a 288. Closer inspection reveals the wheels to be replicas anyway.

I knew I should have written 288 "style" wheels - can't get anything past you!
Saw the one I mentioned being test driven a few times - my cycle route to the station (then to school) was along the road they tested their Ferraris. A couple of Daytona Spyders, the odd 512BB, plenty of 308s and 328s and a few Testarossas - always brightened up my day! Dad had a 308GT4 - bit of a pretend Ferrari (he wasn't that keen) but it made a nice noise. Inlaws had a 355 - more of a proper one although still flimsier than a sheet of bog roll. |

I don't know why the 308GT4 was regarded as a pretend Ferrari (although people do regard it that way) as it had a proper V8. One could argue that the iconic 246 Dino was "pretend" as it didn't have a V8 or even a Ferrari-designed engine. It didn't have the prancing horse at the start.

Dino was stunning so maybe just got away with it?!
308GT4 was a bit more "challenging" although far prettier than a minging 400i and 412 monstrosities of the time. Mondial was also a bit of an eyesore IMO. |

I think the problem with the Mondial was quite simply the existance of the 308. As it matured, the last Mondial (which carried the 348 40-valve engine mounted longitudinally) was quite pretty.
