Congrats!! I think you may get the car earlier than me as the salesguy told me the Transport Dept will take some time to test this first batch of 323i.

That's bad! How come the transport Dept. need so much time to inspect them? Does BMW HK give you an exact date when you can get it?

Ray, don't worry. We will wait for your car for our second meet. We are very interested to see the first 323i in HK!

Today, I just ordered the rear power sunshade retrofit kit from BMW HK and hopefully I will have it installed before our second meet. Remember, don't ask me the cost of it

Since the delivery of my blackline tailight is still an unknown, I will try to buy it during my biz trip to Europe at the end of the month. Hopefully I can buy it along with the side sunscreens so that I don't have to order them in HK and wait for months.

BTW, as I ordered the power rear sunshade retrofit kit from BMW HK. I noticed that they have the blackline taillights on sale now. It's now HK$2200 a set ( It was something like HK$3300)

For those of you who are interested in getting the blacklines, you may go to Matauwei road BMW HK parts dept. and have a look. But I am getting mine in Europe

Also, the M-sport steering wheel can be retrofited to cars with sport steering wheel (330i type) for around HK$5500 installed (It uses the airbag from your existing steering wheel)

Heated seats also can be retrofited at around HK$5500 for the heated seats' parts, HK$950 for the centre console switch and HK$3500 for the installation.

Do we avoid paying the tax if we buy the parts after 6 months from purchase of the car?

Yes, if you are buying accessories, wheels etc... from the stealer, then you have to pay the tax if your car is below 6 months old.

Hi RD, thanks for your info. Let's have our second meet after your trip & see what you've got from Europe.
By the way, anyone going to see the 1-series in Ocean Centre? I will go there tomorrow.

I went there yesterday, they have a 330 with M sport kit display, with carbon fibre rear diffuser, cf rear spoiler and cf front splitter. The rear spoiler and splitter are different than the one RD Sport has, they are more aggressive . The M sport kit looks better in person than seeing from photo, go take a look today.

The cf parts are damn expensive,
cf rear spolier $5570
cf rear diffuser and front splitter $12xxx
M sport kit $28000
blackline taillight $2200 ( I recal RD Sport get them for $1600)

Thanks 2020 for your latest news . Yes, the CF splitters are different than mine because the M-sport bumper is different and more aggressive. For the CF rear spoiler, I have seen some pics of it and it looks similar to mine except it's made of CF.

Of course CF parts are expensive but you can get them alot cheaper at Valiant in MK. The blackline taillight which I have ordered from MK (still haven't arrived yet! ) is HK$1600 but I think I will get them in Europe, I just can't wait any longer!

2020, have you check the M-sport steering wheel? Is it alot better than our regular 330i wheel? The parts guy told me it's thicker ........ and it costs HK$5500 installed for 330i.

Well, modding cars are not cheap!!!!!!

I went to the launch on Friday and saw the 330. Didn't like the bottom front, had a different colour (carbon) to the body. Also managed to get a hardcopy of the accessories booklet for the e90. I think by the time you add up all the items, you could buy another e90!

Saw the 1 series. Looks nice but way too small at the back seats and boot. When I adjusted the front seat for me to be comfortable, there's hardly any space left at the back. And for the boot, couldn't put any golf bags at all, unless you fold down the rear seats. 120 looks a bit expensive but the 130's 390K price is pretty attractive though. It's more for a 2 person car than anything else.

Now having actually seen the 1, the e90 do look very spacious afterall.

Just curious, what colour is that 330i with the M sport body kit with CF splitters at the Ocean Centre show?

Hi ks

did you take any photos at the BMW show at Harbour City?
I hit the 50 mins traffics jam today , so I finally gave up going .

Considering R32 costs 450K , 390K for a 130i as a sporty hatch is not too bad. Yes, I saw the 1 series in Bangkok Moto Show last yr, way too small
