Whats it worth
I really enjoy driving my 320d M but 12 days ago we had our first baby and didn't think we would have any problems but the boot is just not big enoughOnce we finally get the travel system in and the changing bag we haven't got any room left,
I would like to stick with a Bmw and thinking about a touring 325d/330d How much would my car be worth? 2006 320D M, 43k, full service history, 19" CSL alloys unmarked with brand new Tyres, BMW black grills, twin exhaust, Privacy rear glass, I would glass the car to be in excellent condition and often people can't believe its a 2006 model |

Ok cool cheers, condition wise i have OCD and when ive looked at cars before who say immaculate etc there not in my eyes. My car is in A1 condition, Needs nothing, Has 11 months MOT, recently serviced, new Uniroyal Rain sport tires costing over £700, Will have 6 months Tax, I guess also with car being under average miles it might be worth more. How would 10.5k sound?

I have not looked on 'trader but if asked I wouldn't have though they were worth that. Nice one though, seems I was undervaluing them.
Edit: very nice looking car Shane,

9995 if you want any chance. Prepare to take 9,600
I sold mine albeit with 40k more miles for 8k and this was a year ago (Almost to the day). Maybe I'm wrong. Don't have a chance to look at Autotrader. What are the dealers selling theirs for? Unfortunately - great condition doesn't mean you can list it for more money. It just means a very good chance the first to see will buy. Rather than having to meet lots of people. When someone finally came to look at mine, they put a deposit down immediately. But it took 3 weeks to get one serious viewer who actually came to see the car and that was at a very competetive price too. One other thing... Sell the car AS SOON AS YOU CAN or else wait till March. Because values tank from now till spring due to both winter (RWD cars drop value, rightly or wrongly) and more importantly Christmas. Great time to buy though, so maybe worth taking the god with the bad.

If this is your first kid, youre probably packing in too much stuff like i did. Every trip was like a military operation.
Maybe switch to more compact lightweight buggy and reduce the content of the nappy bag and it might be fine. |

Have you still got the original wheels and grills?? If so, I'd put them back on and sell the upgraded wheels and grills separately, might get a bit more selling them separately

It sure is mate, Problem is mate the buggy we have cost us a fair bit of money so not really changeable, I mean i can get it in and once the changing bag is in i recon i could get 2 maybe 3 carry bags in too but that's it. As the weeks go on it but become easier. Ill go and have a look at an E91 and see what the boot is like

I say would be looking in the region of the 9500-9750
Mate of mine has a stone mint red 320d m sport with full leather etc and 72k, been up for £9100 for the best 2 weeks and only had 1 serious viewer, My uncle sells cars as a trade and his own words "cars 5k and under will sell", end of day people are looking to waste less money on cars, but there are still people out there the can afford it and someone will buy it just all down to someone on the look for one |

Wow you must have got a one heck of a large travel buggy. We bought a mama & pappas - Pilko pushchair. It can be a pram and hooks a car seat into it as well. That pram, cot bed and two weeks worth of clothers for a holiday trip fitted fine into the boot. You might find it cheaper to change the travel system / pram then the car

I have the same issue as I have a 6 month old so I bought a roof box!
Our push chair is really small - Babystyle Oyster - folds up tiny and takes the car seat etc.

I have the Stokke Explory, and it doesn't exactly go down small. When it comes time to change the E91 though, I will be going for a 5-series. The 3 series just simply isn't big enough, even in touring form. I mean, we can get the frame and the seat in, and the car seat will fix to the frame, but beyond that, you can just squeeze the umpteen bags of nappies and clothes and stuff you need to take with you, leaving little (read:no) room for shopping or anything.
On the other hand, I did buy a Range Rover, and that has HEAPS of room in it. Easily swallows up all the kid gubbings, and a decent shop at costco to boot. Without breaking into the cabin. If you do end up shifting the E90 for more room, the E91 will just be a disappointment for you. |

I would have said 10k assuming your non-leather seats.
But I'm surprised your saying the boots not big enough, should be plenty big enough. My missus has a R50 Mini Cooper, now that boot is small, but we got our M&P's Urbo pushchair and changing bag etc. in the boot. Don't be to hasty about changing your motor, its very nice! |
