Those of you with Rev1, I would assume probably can run the same maps, but would need a BT scanner tool to clear codes before taking it to the dealer...

Rev.1 and Rev. 2 Compatibility
While these new maps/firmware are intended specially for Rev.2 CANbus use, they can be run in Rev.1 PROcedes as well. However, since Rev.1 PROcedes are not CANbus equipped, no CANbus features (code reading, code clearing, dashboard display, CAN logging, etc,.) will be functional.

Anyone tried out the new maps yes? Is there a noticeable difference in performance over the last 5-29 maps?

+1 Definitely needs to be an option.

The mapping is identical to the 5-29 maps. We just incorporated some more safety features. The idea behind the new CAN logging is that you can now adjust your User Torque and Ignition Correction % to maximize power. Basically, our maps have always been conservative on ignition timing. That's because we actually control timing. Leaving Ign Correction at 100% preserves this conservatism. Dropping it to 0% basically makes it like a JB3 which some people (but not engines) like. Now you can monitor knock status and ignition timing under boost to determine what % you can get away with safely. You will probably find yourself somewhere in the middle (50-75%) when custom tuned for your conditions. The higher the octane, the lower the Ignition Correction %. On race gas, you will want to run 0% obviously. And of course, you can adjust each map independently.

Soon, this will be done automatically by the PROcede (auto tuning). But for now, it's a manual exercise for those who want to squeeze out every last poney safety. For others, I suggest just sticking to the defaults. They are plenty strong as they are

I'll be posting up custom tuning tutorials next week!

Cheers,
shiv

I'll be releasing Doomsday maps for Rev 1 guys next week. Been crazy these last two weeks. But yes, we are getting to the point that CANbus integration is fundamental to the tune. Not there quite yet. But by next firmware update, it's going to be obviously different.

Thanks shiv. A nice step forward. Can't wait for your tutorial.

Also looking forward to "Auto tuning", and q possible Vishnu (or Vishnu endorsed) Meth Kit and related maps and firmware.

Enjoy the holiday!

Guys I have a small problem with this new software...I have a smaller laptop with 10,5" screen and since the new "User adjustable paramters" page is bigger than before the "OK" button at the bottom of that page is invisible to me
I'm not able to move or scroll that page so that the OK would become visible..even tried to jump through the different fields with "Tab"key but that didn't work either... hope you get the picture.

Do they have a hot-key assigned to the button? Check and see if that is the case.

Same maps as before, with additional safety features. I suspect if anything you get less perfomance when you trigger unsafe conditions but wont get any better performance than the last maps. Shiv said they are the same maps a few posts back. You might want to wait for auto tune feature or for some brave soul to push the envelope with user adjustables.

Try running your computer at a higher resolution. That should fix your problem.

Great idea, but seems like his screen is way too small even for highest resolution. By the way I think he wont see anything if he turns it much higher, but it would be worth trying for sure.

Hold the ctrl button down and zoom in or out with the middle wheel on your mouse...

I retract my own post. After trying it a couple times I actually like the feature just the way it is. It works perfectly. I think the high temp shutoff should be 260 though. 250 is too common and you will lose performance too early IMO. I do love the new features and the new maps are awesome. What is changed? Are there any changes or is it just in my head?

Good because I wasn't going to make it optional

The shut off point isn't 250F. That's just when boost starts to gradually drop off. Reaching stock boost by 268F. The reason I want boost to lower above 250F is because above that point, the increasing oil temps make the engine more knock prone. This is one reason cars without oil coolers don't run as strong as cars with them. And we want to avoid this oil temp induced knock retard by tapering down on the boost when things get hot. If the user wants to add an oil cooler, they will notice that boost will automatically stays nice and high for longer!

With CANbus integration, we are finally at the point were we can essentially create a perfect no-holds-barred tune that does NOT sacrifice safety for max performance. The PROcede stands alone in that respect. And I think it always will.

Currently I dont think any tune compares as far as safety and performance and Im really glad I kept the procede. Now for the in dash boost gauge. Thats what Im waiting for..
